It’s quite simple really. Because cold air and winter heating strips away the moisture from the atmosphere which then strips away the moisture from your skin. The 1st rule in learning about skin is that the most significant step in looking younger for longer is hydration - hydration - hydration.

Nothing else can function to its maximum level without sufficient hydration. That even means collagen production. The lack of Vitamin D can slow down skin cell turnover. Cell turnover is required for collagen production.

Skin looks dry - dull – rough and Fine lines and wrinkles look more obvious.

Cold temperatures, harsh cold winds, lack of humidity and dry air can definitely affect the skin.
