Why can't I use active skincare after IPL?

Your skin has just had a treatment, so it's time to let it heal.

For the first two weeks, avoid active ingredients like: ❌ Glycolic acid ❌ Lactic acid ❌ Retinol ❌ Vitamin C

These products can cause extra redness, irritation and make your skin feel more sensitive.

Instead, keep it simple: Gentle cleanser, Hydrating moisturiser ☀️ SPF every single day.

Giving your skin a little break helps it heal properly and gives you the best results from your IPL treatment. If you're ever unsure about a product, just send me a message. 💕

IPL vs Laser... They're not the same thing!

I get asked this all the time!

Both IPL and laser can treat things like pigmentation, hair reduction and some vascular concerns. The biggest difference is how they work.

👀 Laser uses one focused wavelength of light, making it very targeted.

👀 IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad spectrum of light, which means it can be adjusted to treat a range of skin concerns like pigmentation, redness, sun damage, skin rejuvenation and hair reduction.

That's one of the reasons I love IPL – it's such a versatile treatment and can be tailored to what your skin needs.
