We’re Abbie and Matt, and we’ve proudly owned So You Hair since 2015 — that’s over 11 years of building a salon, a team, and a community we love.

Along the way, you’ve shared so much of life with us. You celebrated our engagement and wedding, stood beside us through five years of IVF, two ectopic pregnancies, and three heartbreaking miscarriages, and then watched us welcome our little miracle, Koah, into the world.

It’s been a journey filled with incredible highs, unimaginable lows, and everything in between. We wouldn’t change where it’s brought us, because it’s made So You Hair and our family what they are today.

Meet P**ì 🤍

We’re so excited to welcome P**ì to the So You Hair family.

You’ll see her in the salon every Friday and Saturday as our Salon Support while she completes her studies at WelTec this year, before beginning her hairdressing apprenticeship with us in the new year.

P**ì has a passion for curly hair, creativity, art and design—and if you know us, you’ll know that loving dogs is pretty much a job requirement. 🐶

We can’t wait to watch her grow, learn and flourish in this industry.

Curls curls curls - I think we might be obsessed 🤩

We haven’t even done a curly cut yet - that’s next, but by taking all of the knowledge from Wellington Curl Specialist curl class we were able to style our clients hair into the curls she didn’t realise she had instead of blow waving it smooth.

That colour is pretty 🔥 though 🙌🏻
