Sur a Sur: From Chile with Love is here. 💜

Eleven handcrafted pieces by Natalia Sarrazin , Icha Vizcarra Orfebrería Textil , and Montserrat Wöhlk|Joyería Contemporánea. Copper, silver, bronze, and cotton. Each one brought back from Chile by hand, each one rooted in craft, culture, and story.

This collection began in a desert in northern Chile, found its shape at a jewellery show in Santiago, and made its way home to Aotearoa. Come see what these pieces are calling home.

While in Santiago, I found out about Joya Chilena, a two-day show bringing together over 60 jewellery makers. I was feeling unwell that day, but it was important to me and I didn't want to miss it.

Three artists came out of that day. Their handcrafted pieces are arriving at Contemporanea this Friday 12 June. 💜

Last year, we went back to Chile. To family, to land, to roots. And to artists whose work I didn't yet know.
A new collection is coming to Contemporanea this Friday, and this is where it began. 💜

Yesterday, I didn't share anything on social media and didn't sent any emails to my subscribers. I didnt plan anything really.
What I did plan and prepare was a day out with my son, while my partner had his first weekend event to showcase his business.

What I didnt expect was to feel like this on Mother's Day ❤️ (if you watch till the end and turn the volume on, you'll here my constant soundtrack)

So much love to all mothers and everyone who mothers in so many ways, to others, to projects, to plants, to businesses, to older parents, to children who are not their own but who own their hearts.
