✨ 10 years today in New Zealand 🇳🇿

Ten years ago, I arrived in New Zealand with a suitcase, a dream, and beaucoup d’espoir. I had no idea how deeply this country would change my life.

From the very beginning, the people of NZ made me feel at home — welcomed, supported, and embraced. For that, I will always be grateful.

Along the way, I built two barbershops. More than businesses, they became places of passion, connection, and purpose. A beautiful and successful journey, one I’m incredibly proud of. 💈

But the greatest thing I built here is my family.
I married a wonderful wife, became the father of two beautiful children, and was lucky enough to build our home in the stunning city of Wellington — not just a house, but a home. ❤️

I met people who became lifelong friends — des amis pour la vie.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me, believed in me, and walked beside me throughout this journey.

What a week at Willis! I first opened The French Barber in 2018, myself, my scissors and 3 empty chairs alongside me on Lambton Quay. I clearly remember one day after having spent the day binge watching La Casa del Papel on the job, as not a single client had walked in, thinking to myself “what have I done??”. Fast forward 7 years and here we are opening our second shop with a total of 17 chairs and a team of 17 barbers. I couldn’t be more grateful. I want to say a huge merci to all of the barbers who have worked with us over the years. The French Barber would not be what it is today without your talent, hard work and commitment to the brand. And to all our clients: your trust and loyalty is what has allowed us to make this dream come true. Thank you for your ongoing support.

We absolutely can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes us!
