You may have noticed me calling our market the 'Tiki Market' ever since we moved to Water St - now it is official! Tane's Gifts started and developed at the Tikipunga Market, such fond memories (and so many great treasures found there over the years!!), and many more great Sunday mornings to come!

Now 'Tiki Market', it was over 20 years ago that a Tikipunga Tavern social club set up a market as a fundraiser...the Tavern carpark proved to be the ideal venue to hold a car boot market, and so the Sunday morning Tikipunga Market quickly became a regular haunt for bargain hunters! The market grew and grew over the years, to include produce, seafood, plants, arts & crafts, coffee carts and hot kai sellers, with sometimes as many as a hundred stalls!
Running through COVID restrictions, and with a move to the local high school, now it is Lynne & John ensuring that our awesome market continues to thrive and, with a nod to its origins, they make regular donations to local community groups and charities.
Having to make the move from Tikipunga into town, but wanting to keep the connection, now our Market officially becomes what many have always called it…the ‘Tiki Market’.
With its rich history, a friendly community of stallholders & customers, and now a great central location, the Tiki Market aims to be standing strong for another 20 years!
The Tiki Market runs every Sunday from 7am - 11am at the Water St Carpark (opposite Dominos). Come along for car boot bargains, arts & crafts, gifts & souvenirs, produce, plants, coffee and a great range of delicious Sunday morning kai.
To book a stall please contact Lynne on 0211896571 (Text Only)
