Social Impact Project 2026 with our partners at benchmarkcoffeetraders continued this week with general consultation, eye care awareness, and vision clinic readiness session at selected Monpi Coffee sites in Goroka, EHP.
Focused on coffee supply chain, our partner Benchmark Coffee Traders, in collaboration with local ophthalmologists and Optimologists from Chicago, USA, will set up vision clinics to perform eye checks for coffee Handsorters-Sundriers at selected Monpi sites this month. And we are grateful that our Founder Anne-Shirley has raised her hands to volunteer her time for such needful projects that enhances overall health and wellbeing, adds value to work through improved sight, ultimately impacting livelihoods.
We appreciate the support of Monpi Management for recognizing the importance of the vision clinic through the SMS Ecom team led by Ms. Diane Anton to coordinate this project implementation.
Together we can enhance personal and workplace productivity through Eye Health initiatives π€π½βπ

It's always heartwarming to see our lovely reusable Queenpads included in donations as such π Thank you PNG Business Coalition For Women for extending Menstrual care through such kind gesture for Queens who needs it.
β€οΈA heart-warming gesture of support at the Port Moresby General Hospital Maternity Ward this week! β€οΈ
A huge thank you to the PNG Business Coalition for Women (BCFW) for donating 100 reusable nappies, clothing, toys, and 100 Queenpads reusable maxi pads (valued at K3,000) to support new mums and babies.
As a local NGO dedicated to workplace equality and women's economic development, BCFW believes that true progress starts with supporting mothers. This donation is part of their commitment to giving back to the community, while keeping a vital conversation alive: the collective push by local businesses to update the national Employment Act to include paid maternity leave.
Thank you, BCFW, for standing with PNG families and championing a fairer, more supportive future for our workforce!

It's encouraging to see the PNG Government continue a 6 months extension from June to December 2026 for GST Exemption on selected essential items, which sanitary pads, tampons and soap are included.
We applaud the recognition and support towards promoting menstrual equity for women and young girls in PNG one step forward amidst economical challenges.
When purchasing sanitary pads, tampons and soap in shops, the prices should exclude 10% GST. This includes our lovely reusable QueenPads, too, at selected City Pharmacy shops nationwide.

Thank you Sir Brian Bell Foundation for all you do for PNG. Your support to organizations like ours is the reason why we continue to reach more Queens, breaking barriers and silence to educate them on the importance of Menstrual Health and Hygiene management. We are grateful to be a part of the Sir Brian Bell Foundation family, and look forward to more impact together.
Happy 10th Birthday πππ
CELEBRATING 10 YEARS SUPPORTING HEALTH AND EDUCATION.
As we mark a decade of service to communities across Papua New Guinea, we pause to reflect on how far we have come, express gratitude to the people who made it possible, and remember Sir Brian Bell, whose deep love for PNG continues to inspire everything we do. Over the past ten years, the Sir Brian Bell Foundation has reached meaningful milestones, but our purpose has always been bigger than any single achievement. Itβs about people and building stronger, healthier communities through education and access to vital health services. Thatβs why it feels especially significant to celebrate this anniversary on World Blood Donor Day, which reflects the very spirit we were founded on. Blood is life, and a single donation can save multiple lives, offering hope in moments of urgent need. Every day, across PNG and around the world, patients rely on the generosity of donors they may never meet. On our birthday every year we honour those quiet heroes, the volunteers who give not just their time, but a part of themselves so that others may live. Their compassion reminds us that real change is built on simple, powerful acts of kindness, which motivates us through everything we do.
Thanks to the support of so many individuals and organisations across PNG we are now able to provide support across 22 provinces and working with over 100 partners to deliver health and education initiatives to men, women and children all over the country. Some highlights from the last 10 years we have been able to achieve in the areas of health and education include the opening of Her Health Hub in Port Moresby in partnership with the .foundation to provide affordable same-day cervical cancer testing and treatment to women. Through our partnership with Queenpads we have continued to deliver menstrual Health and hygiene awareness and reusable products for women to use during their special days. AlongsideLiteHaus International we have assisted in the development of 380 computer labs across the country to ensure students and teachers receive a digital education. At the Sir Brian Bell Centre for Transfusion Medicine, we have collected over 90,000 blood donations since opening to support patient needs at the Port Moresby General Hospital. We have also provided first aid basic training to students so they can act should they encounter an emergency in their communities with National St John Ambulance Service PNG, as well as continue to support the Buk bilong Pikinini Library Learning Centres so that little learners receive a quality education. Over 40,000 children just last year alone were also educated to preserve our native plants and animals at the Port Moresby Nature Park, and we are opening a new centre for Eye Health in Port Moresby alongside The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ and partnering with to empower young people with opportunities for personal growth and many many more organisations we are proud to work alongside.
Sir Brian Bell Foundation CEO Bronwyn Wright commented, βThe last 10 years have been truly incredible. We are forever proud of the partners we work alongside every day. This is just the beginning. As we look ahead, we remain committed to carrying forward Sir Brian's legacy and continuing to serve the communities that inspire us every day across the countryβ.
βToday we also say a very special thank you to our loyal customers, Foundation family members and our very own SBBF Support Squad for their continued support so we can continue to provide support to so many people in our communityβ, concluded Sir Brian Bell Foundation CEO Bronwyn Wright.
On our birthday every year, our Support Squads all over the country come together to give lifesaving blood donations to support communities in need. You can join us by visiting your local blood collection centre. Blood donation is quick, easy and painless, and you may just save a life. Donβt wait, donate.
Thank you, PNG, for your continued support.
