💉 IMMUNIZATION & MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CHECK-UP 🩺👶🤰

Immunization was successfully conducted this morning at the Barangay Health Center, led by our dedicated Midwife Maria Abrero, with the assistance of our Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), BNS, and Committee on Health.

👶 Baby check-ups and immunization were provided, while 🤰 pregnant mothers also received their regular check-up and health monitoring.

🚨 NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2026 🚨

The 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) was successfully conducted today, September 10, 2026, at the Barangay San Nicolas Hall, Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

The activity was actively participated in by our Barangay Officials, BHWs, BNS, and Barangay Tanods, demonstrating the importance of preparedness, proper response, and teamwork during an earthquake or any emergency situation.

🇵🇭 MANA Mo 2026 | Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony

The Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony was successfully conducted this morning in front of the Barangay San Nicolas Hall in celebration of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026.

The activity was attended by our Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Tanods, and Day Care pupils, who came together in unity and patriotism.

This year’s theme, “Karapatan sa Karagatan, Sama-Sama Nating Alagaan,” reminds us of our shared responsibility to protect and care for our seas and maritime resources. 🌊🇵🇭

💉 MR-SIA BOOSTER | Measles-Rubella Vaccination

MR-SIA Booster vaccination was successfully conducted this day at Barangay San Nicolas, Candon City, headed by the PDOHO and Candon City Health Office, together with our dedicated BHWs and BNS, and our Barangay Officials.

🏠 House-to-house vaccination was also conducted to reach children who had not yet received their MR-SIA booster. Some parents were initially hesitant to have their children vaccinated, but the PDOHO and CHO team patiently explained the importance and benefits of vaccination in protecting children against measles and rubella.

🤝 Through teamwork, education, and community outreach, we continue to work toward a safer and healthier Barangay San Nicolas.

💉 MR-SIA BOOSTER | Measles-Rubella Vaccination

💉 Routine Immunization Done! 👶🤰

This morning, our Barangay Health Center successfully conducted its routine immunization through the efforts of our Barangay Midwife, Maria Abrero, with the support of our BNS and BHWs. Prenatal check-ups for pregnant mothers were also conducted.

As Committee on Health Chairperson, Kagawad Youbirth Estipular, I sincerely thank our dedicated healthcare team for their commitment to keeping our community healthy.

Community Clean-Up and HAPAG Garden Preparation 🌱🧹

Our dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) conducted a clean-up drive around the Barangay Health Center in preparation for the establishment of the HAPAG vegetable garden.

Present during the activity was Committee on Health, Kagawad Youbirth Estipular, who joined and supported the BHWs in promoting a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the community.

The team cleaned the surroundings, pruned the acacia tree, and removed the leaves accumulated on the health center’s roof to ensure that rainwater flows smoothly through the drainage system and to prevent water buildup.

The electrical service drop was also repaired and secured to ensure the safety and convenience of residents visiting the health center, reducing potential electrical hazards.
