On 12 June 2026, the 777th Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (NROTCU) of Holy Cross of Davao College, through the Institute of Davao Studies, participated in the 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration organized by the City Government of Davao.

Anchored on the theme, β€œKalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan,” the commemoration honored the sacrifices, courage, and patriotism of the Filipino heroes whose dedication and valor secured the nation's freedom and sovereignty. The program was graced by Vice President Sara Z. Duterte as the Guest of Honor and was attended by government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, uniformed services, and representatives from various civic organizations.

The participation of the 777th NROTCU in this significant national observance underscores its commitment to promoting patriotism, civic consciousness, and responsible citizenship among its student cadets. On 04 June 2026, the 777th Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit (NROTCU) participated in Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Sta. Ana Central Elementary School, Davao City, in support of the Department of Education’s annual school maintenance and community engagement program.

Basic NROTC Closing Ceremony SY 2025-2026 & Turn-over Rites of Corps of Officersβš“πŸ‡΅πŸ‡­
The 777th NROTCU Holy Cross of Davao College concluded the Military Science 2 for SY 2025–2026 through a memorable Closing and Turn-Over Ceremony celebrating a year marked by discipline, honor, leadership, and unwavering service to the nation.
The occasion was graced by Mr. Romel F. Momo, Vice President for Operations, as Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his inspiring message, he praised the graduating cadets for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence, while challenging the incoming leaders to continue upholding the proud legacy and standards of the unit. He also reminded them that the key to success is to Pray, Read, Exercise and Plan.
A defining moment of the ceremony was the formal Turn-Over of the Corps Commander and Staff with the Commandant, CAPT LIBERTY C GAMUETA PN(GSC). As the outgoing Corps Commander entrusted the responsibility of leadership to the incoming Corps Commander, the ceremony symbolized not only the end of a chapter but the beginning of a new mission guided by courage, integrity, and service.
