Dear valued clients, please take a little extra care of your skin after exposure to floodwater.

Floodwater may contain dirt, bacteria, sewage, chemicals, and other contaminants that can irritate the skin and increase the risk of infection — especially when you have cuts, wounds, or broken skin.

After flood exposure:

🧡 Wash — Clean your skin thoroughly with clean running water and soap.
🧡 Clean wounds — Gently wash cuts and abrasions and keep them protected with a clean dressing.
🧡 Change — Remove wet or contaminated clothes as soon as possible.
🧡 Dry — Pay special attention to your feet, between your toes, and skin folds.
🧡 Avoid harsh chemicals — Never use bleach, household disinfectants, or other cleaning products directly on your skin.

Please watch for increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pain, pus, fever, or a spreading rash. These may require medical assessment.

Your skin is your body's first line of defense. After flood exposure, clean, protect, and monitor.
