We’re so grateful for the teachers who show up for our children and youth every day. Across BT and in our communities, they do so much more than teach. They create supportive spaces where children can truly thrive.

Today, we honor their heart and dedication.

Happy World Teachers’ Day!

From September 10 to 15, youth representatives from Manila, Zamboanga, and Davao met in Davao City for the National Congress for CISS 2026.

Building on earlier local congresses, the children shared their stories and created role plays about their everyday struggles. They turned their lived experiences into clear recommendations for change, presenting them directly to local officials and asking key questions on child protection and government accountability.

Congratulations to the National CISS Youth Group for co-leading this event! Deep gratitude to our hosts, the Tambayan Center for Children's Rights, Inc., for their incredible dedication in bringing this together, and to our partner child rights organizations for their support.

We also thank the government representatives from the Office of Councilor Pamela Librado-Morata, Barangay 22-C, RJJWC, CHR Region XI, and SOCC for listening to our youth and engaging with their calls for action.

The Children’s General Assembly is always one of our favorite days of the year at BT. It’s the one day where children and youth take center stage to share their ideas, speak their minds, and help us shape the future together.

This year was extra special! Centered around the vibrant theme of Philippine Culture and Fiesta, we spent the day in small group discussions listening to everyone's experiences and big ideas to make BT even better. We also enjoyed an incredible talent showcase, elected our new council, looked back at everything our current council accomplished this year, and heard some deeply inspiring stories from our alumni, Sheng and John.

As always, their voices are what keep us moving forward!

Happy International Day of Play!🎉

These photos from our Sportsfest last May remind us that play is an essential part of childhood. Through games and sports, children can learn, grow, and simply have fun.

Every child deserves the opportunity to play and experience the joys of childhood. 💚

With this year's International Day for Children in Street Situations theme of Access to Justice, children and youth representatives gathered for the Metro Manila Local Congress for CiSS 2026.

Over four days, participants shared their experiences, reflected on the challenges they face, and worked together to develop posters and messages calling for greater protection, inclusion, and support for CiSS. The Congress also included a day of swimming and recreation, celebrating the resilience of children and young people and their right to play, rest, and enjoy being children. ☀️

The Congress culminated in a dialogue with the Commission on Human Rights, where participants presented their outputs, shared their stories, and raised questions and recommendations directly to duty-bearers.

We thank our partners from Kanlungan sa Erma Ministries, Tulay ng Kabataan Foundation, Virlanie Foundation, Manila Boystown Complex, the City Social Welfare and Development Office of Dasmariñas, and the Social Services Development Department of Quezon City for joining us in creating spaces where children are heard and their voices matter. 💚

In celebration of World Environment Day, we are sharing photos from a rooftop planting activity held last April 11 with volunteers from JPMorganChase and 🌱

Since last year, JPMorganChase has been supporting the farm and garden needs of our centers in Manila and Laguna. Their continued support has helped bring our dream of a rooftop garden in Manila closer to reality, one step at a time.

Thank you to JPMorganChase and Urban Farmers PH for helping us grow greener spaces for our children, youth, and community. 💚

Last month, children and youth from our BT centers joined our Kids Camp, taking part in arts, cooking, sports, and other activities. Along the way, they explored new skills, expressed their creativity, and spent time learning and growing together.

The camp concluded with a showcase and awarding ceremony to celebrate their participation and achievements. Thank you to everyone who helped make this summer fun, meaningful, and memorable for the children. ☀️
