Any Grade 7 or Grade 11 student who wishes to run in the election may secure a Certificate of Candidacy from the SCB Moderator.

As per the relevant Strengthened Curriculum of the Department of Education, which has been made effective for the academic year 2026-2027, the SCB issued Resolution No. 2026-001 to relate the process of considering and developing new student leaders for the upcoming election of the Grade 11 Representatives within a student-driven institution.

The Electoral Calendar serves as the official guide for the entire election process—ensuring that all participants are informed and prepared to participate in an organized, and transparent election. We encourage all aspiring candidates, to review the schedule carefully and take note of the important dates.

📣📢LAYAG 2026 HAS BEEN POSTPONED

In view of the expected inclement weather tomorrow, July 11, 2026 (Saturday), the Student Coordinating Board's Layag organizers are sad to inform all Grade Eleven students that the Layag student activity has been postponed. This is to ensure that the safety of all our students is always put first.

Further details and new dates for Layag will be announced soon. Thank you for your understanding. We are working on making this event both memorable and safe for the Grade Eleven Malatean community.

🗓️ The Student Coordinating Board successfully conducted its meeting last July 7, 2026 in preparation for Layag 2026, an event dedicated to welcoming and inspiring our Grade 11 students as they begin a new chapter of their senior high school journey.

During the meeting, the board discussed the event flow, committee responsibilities, assigned tasks, and other essential preparations to ensure that every detail is carefully planned and organized. As Layag symbolizes setting sail toward new horizons, we remain committed to creating an event that encourages our students to embrace new opportunities, face challenges with confidence, and move forward together as one community.

With teamwork, dedication, and shared purpose guiding every preparation, we look forward to making Layag 2026 a meaningful and memorable experience for every Grade 11 student. 🌊💙

All Malatean students are reminded to observe the school’s policies on grooming, uniform, and discipline.

Please ensure that you are properly groomed and in complete uniform at all times to avoid any concerns during inspections.

• No hair color
• No thick make-up
• No bringing of make-up kits
• No long socks
• No pictures or stickers on IDs
• No bringing or using vapes, lighters, and any sharp, harmful, or prohibited objects
🟩🟨🟦🟥 Students are required to wear the designated colored patch assigned to their respective year level.

• Hair must follow the prescribed 2×3 haircut policy.
• Uniform must be complete, neat, and properly worn.
• ID

• Barrettes are required.
• Sando must be worn underneath the school blouse.
• Excessive make-up and other unnecessary cosmetic accessories are not permitted.

Let us demonstrate discipline, responsibility, and respect by complying with these guidelines. Proper grooming and wearing of the prescribed uniform reflect our commitment to the values of Malate Catholic School and our pride as Malateans.
