For more than a decade now, Hair Asia has been organizing the most anticipated event in the hairstyling industry.

The annual affair is graced by the most colorful personalities in the beauty, fashion and entertainment industries. The focal point of the annual event is the National Open Championship for Hairstyling and Makeup. The Championship is a celebration of the unparalleled talents, skills and ingenuity of the Filipino hairstylist. It gives stylists the opportunity to exhibit their skills among peers and

professionals in a mutually supportive and constructive atmosphere. Ever since the competition’s launch in 2000, Overall Champions have been sent to the most beautiful destinations around the globe like London, Milan, Italy, Germany, London, Milan, Italy, Bali, Singapore and Hong Kong. But, more than the substantial prizes and awards, it is the singular moment of having the chance to shine among peers that attracts hundreds of aspiring stylists to the Championship year in, year out. Recognition in the Hair Asia competitions has long been regarded as one of the highest honors that can be achieved by a hairstylist in his or her career. In fact, it has served as a springboard for the careers of many successful stylists. The competition is open for both start-up and seasoned practitioners in the industry. It has four categories: The Ladies’ Creative Haircutting and Blow-dry; the Men’s Creative Haircutting and Blow-dry; the Commercial Make-up; and the Bridal Make-up. Every year, Hair Asia collaborates with the country’s top hair and makeup gurus, as well as internationally renowned experts, in the conduct of live demonstrations on the newest techniques and tools. It features the talents of successful stylists who have made their marks in the industry. Radiant stars take to the runway to show off stunning hair and makeup creations by various experts. Models Melanie Marquez and Wilma Doesnt, beauty queens Ruffa Gutierrez and Charlene Gonzalez, and actresses Lorna Tolentino, Dina Bonnevie, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Sharon Cuneta are just a few of the personalities who have graciously appeared in Hair Asia’s catwalk. Hair Asia ’s Fashion Show offers the ultimate in education, entertainment, excitement and glamour. Further, it greatly influences, if not completely sets, the standard and future trends in the local hair and makeup industry. Amidst the nerve-wracking competitions and glamorous shows, the hottest products and tools are launched and put on exhibit at the Hair Asia Expo. In collaboration with the country’s top personal care manufacturers, Hair Asia features the best tools, equipment and products in the market.
