Coming full circle. 💜📸

Before I became a hair and makeup artist in 2018, I was already behind the camera.

I first studied portrait photography in 2009, ventured into wedding photography in 2012, and then went back to portrait photography again in 2019 to refresh and revisit what I had learned.

Photography has been part of my creative journey for a long time — even before hair and makeup became my profession.

So this particular shoot during the Wedding Expo Philippines by Themes and Motifs felt extra special.

I had the opportunity to do the makeup and hairstyling for my fellow makeup artist, Miss Lauren Dalao, and then photograph her myself using my DSLR.

It’s interesting how different chapters of your creative life can eventually meet again.

I started with photography, eventually found my way into hair and makeup, and now I’m slowly bringing photography back into the picture — quite literally.

I’m enjoying rebuilding my portrait photography portfolio alongside my hair and makeup artistry, and it has me thinking about the possibilities.
Perhaps one day, I can offer mini portrait sessions alongside my hair and makeup services, giving clients the experience of being professionally styled and having beautiful portraits captured right after.

For now, I’m just happy to be picking up my camera again and rediscovering a part of my creativity that has been with me for years.
Some creative skills never really leave you. They just wait for you to come back to them. 💜📸

A little less photos, a few videos, and a whole lot of meaningful connections. 🤍

This Wedding Expo was truly such a good experience for TEPAN Hair & Makeup Artistry. I had the opportunity to meet and interact with so many soon-to-weds, prospective clients, and fellow wedding industry professionals.

Beyond meeting couples, I was also grateful to receive opportunities to connect and potentially partner with businesses within the events industry—including event organizers and even hotels exploring the possibility of holding their own bridal fairs. 🥂✨

It reminded me just how important exposure and networking are, especially for small businesses and independent artists like myself. Every conversation, inquiry, introduction, and person who stopped by our booth means so much.
