PNP APPREHENDS FOUR MOST WANTED PERSONS IN CALABARZON OPERATIONS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested four Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) in separate law enforcement operations conducted across CALABARZON on June 27, 2026, further strengthening its campaign against wanted persons through the implementation of court-issued warrants.

In San Pablo City, Laguna, police arrested a Filipino of legal age who is facing 34 counts of estafa under separate criminal cases. The court recommended a total bail of ₱2.334 million, and the suspect is now under police custody pending further court proceedings.

In Imus City, Cavite, authorities arrested another Filipino of legal age wanted for 18 counts of qualified r**e of a minor. The court set bail at ₱200,000 for each count, or a total of ₱3.6 million, and the suspect was turned over to the court of origin following the arrest.

Meanwhile, in Lipa City, Batangas, police served a warrant against a Filipino of legal age
facing a charge of qualified r**e of a minor, a non-bailable offense. The suspect is currently under police custody.

In Rodriguez, Rizal, police also arrested Regional Most Wanted Person with the alias "Pabs," who is facing one count of qualified statutory r**e. The warrant of arrest was issued without bail, and the suspect is currently under police custody while awaiting the issuance of the appropriate commitment order by the court.

The successful operations are aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing the organization's commitment to ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts in accordance with the law. The campaign also supports the peace and public safety priorities of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., lauded the operating units for carrying out the operations with professionalism and strict adherence to legal procedures.

"Ang bawat warrant na naipatutupad nang maayos ay patunay ng ating patuloy na pagtatrabaho para sa kapayapaan at katarungan. Hindi tayo magsasawa sa paghahanap sa mga taong may pananagutan sa batas, ngunit sisiguraduhin nating ang bawat operasyon ay isinasagawa nang may integridad, paggalang sa karapatang pantao, at pagsunod sa due process," said PGen Nartatez.

PNP SEIZES OVER ₱6 MILLION WORTH OF NON-COMPLIANT E-BIKE PRODUCTS IN PAMPANGA

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), seized more than ₱6 million worth of imported e-bike batteries, chargers, and electric bicycles during the implementation of a search warrant for the alleged violation of Republic Act No. 7394, or the Consumer Act of the Philippines, in Mexico, Pampanga on June 23.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of 365 imported e-bike batteries, 90 battery chargers, and 20 electric bicycles with batteries, with an estimated total value of ₱6.02 million. Initial findings indicated that the imported products allegedly lacked the required Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) stickers and Philippine Standard (PS) marks, which certify that imported goods comply with the country's safety and quality standards. Authorities also found that the warehouse was reportedly operating without the necessary local business permit.

The operation reflects the PNP's continuing efforts under its Focused Agenda on Enhanced Managing Police Operations to strengthen law enforcement initiatives that protect consumers and promote compliance with existing laws. It also supports the broader thrust of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to uphold public safety, responsible business practices, and accountability.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating teams for their coordinated efforts and emphasized the importance of protecting consumers while ensuring that enforcement actions are carried out fairly and lawfully.

“Ang layunin ng operasyong ito ay tiyakin na ang mga produktong ibinebenta sa ating merkado ay sumusunod sa itinakdang pamantayan para sa kaligtasan ng publiko. Hindi natin hinahadlangan ang lehitimong negosyo; ang nais lamang natin ay patas ang pagsunod sa batas para sa kapakanan ng lahat," said PGen Nartatez.

PNP RECOVERS NEARLY ₱11-M IN SUSPECTED SMUGGLED CI******ES ACROSS THREE OPERATIONS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) recovered more than ₱10.9 million worth of suspected smuggled ci******es in three separate operations in Northern Mindanao, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula, reflecting the PNP's continuing campaign against illicit trade.

In Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte, police arrested a legal-age Filipino suspect after intercepting a wing van carrying 190 master cases, or approximately 9,500 reams, of suspected smuggled ci******es with an estimated value of ₱7.6 million. The vehicle and its cargo were placed under police custody pending turnover to the appropriate government agency.

In Marantao, Lanao del Sur, police recovered 2,550 reams of suspected smuggled ci******es worth about ₱2.18 million after several individuals reportedly abandoned the contraband along a roadside upon learning of an anti-criminality checkpoint. The recovered items were secured while follow-up investigation is underway to identify those involved.

Meanwhile, in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, responding police recovered 20 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es valued at approximately ₱1.14 million after a concerned citizen reported several abandoned boxes in the area. Authorities are coordinating with the concerned agencies for the proper disposition of the recovered items and the continuation of the investigation.
