*Visit Report – Layyah General Hospital*

_To strengthen the provision of quality healthcare services, the Government of Punjab is establishing state-of-the-art healthcare facilities across the province to meet present and future healthcare needs. Layyah General Hospital is one of the flagship projects aimed at providing advanced medical care to the people of the district._
Today, a detailed visit of Layyah General Hospital was conducted along with the Project Manager of IDAP and other relevant technical staff to review the progress of the project and assess the ongoing installation work.
During the visit, the following key areas were inspected:
- The latest Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system was inspected, and installation work was found to be progressing satisfactorily.
- The hospital's fire safety and firefighting system was reviewed to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- It was observed that the majority of medical and engineering equipment has already been installed and is currently undergoing testing and commissioning.
- The District Forest Officer (DFO) was requested to extend support for plantation and landscaping to enhance the hospital's surroundings and overall environment.
*Observations:*
- Civil and engineering works are in the final stages of completion.
- Equipment installation has been largely completed, with testing currently underway.
- Landscaping and beautification activities need to be expedited before commissioning.
_The project is nearing completion and is expected to be ready for inauguration within the next two months. Once operational, Layyah General Hospital will significantly strengthen the district's healthcare system by providing modern, high-quality medical services equipped with advanced facilities, greatly benefiting the local community._

*Today's Activities Report – CEO DHA Layyah*

On the directions of the Health & Population Department Punjab, CEO DHA Layyah carried out the following official activities to strengthen healthcare management, community health services, and administrative coordination in the district.
*1. Meeting with School Health & Nutrition Supervisors (SH&NS)*
A meeting was held with School Health & Nutrition Supervisors to review the performance of Community Health Inspectors (CHIs). The following agenda items were discussed in detail:
- Progress of CHI household registration.
- Coverage of refusal cases and strategies to convert refusals.
- Review of parceling activities and field performance.
- Directions were issued to ensure timely completion of assigned targets, accurate reporting, and effective field monitoring.
*2. District Quality Control Board (DQCB) Meeting*
The District Quality Control Board (DQCB) meeting was chaired by Honourable Shabir Ahmad Dogar, ADCG Layyah.

- Drug Inspectors
During the meeting, matters related to drug regulation, quality assurance, inspection activities, and enforcement of pharmaceutical laws were reviewed. The chair directed all concerned officers to ensure strict compliance with quality standards and strengthen regulatory oversight across the district.
*3. Handing Over / Taking Over of Population Welfare Department Record*
Under the chairmanship of Honourable Shabir Ahmad Dogar, ADCG Layyah, a committee supervised the handing over and taking over process of records and logistics of the Population Welfare Department.
_During the proceedings, the District Population Welfare Officer formally handed over all relevant records and logistics to the CEO DHA Layyah. The committee ensured that the transfer was completed transparently, systematically, and in accordance with official procedures, with proper documentation of all records and assets.

_On the directions of *Honorable Madam Nadia Saquib, Secretary Health & Population Department Punjab, and Worthy Mr. Asif Ali Dogar, Deputy Commissioner Layyah*, DHA Layyah is taking proactive measures to ensure the provision of quality healthcare delivery services across the district._
To assess the provision of healthcare delivery services, visited following health facilities.
*1. THQ Hospital Kot Sultan*
The Medical Superintendent (MS) THQ Hospital Kot Sultan, along with his team, accompanied the visit and briefed on the ongoing operational activities and service delivery.

- Cleanliness and infection prevention measures
- Emergency services and preparedness
- Electrical wiring and safety concerns

*2. Maryam Nawaz Hospital (MNH) Jaman Shah*
🔹Visited Maryam Nawaz Hospital (MNH) Jaman Shah, where the newly appointed management has recently assumed charge.
🔹The visit focused on providing guidance regarding the operational management of the facility in accordance with the vision of Honorable Chief Minister Punjab. The management was briefed on service delivery standards, administrative responsibilities, patient-centered care, and efficient utilization of available resources.

- Ensure smooth implementation of operational activities as per departmental guidelines.

*Visit Report – DHQ Hospital Layyah*
_Under the visionary leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and in line with the Government of Punjab's commitment to strengthening healthcare and emergency response services, Sardar Asif Ali Dogar, Deputy Commissioner Layyah, visited District Headquarters Hospital Layyah._
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Dr. Shahid Riaz, Chief Executive Officer, District Health Authority Layyah, Dr. Muhammad Hayat, Medical Superintendent, DHQ Hospital Layyah, Dr. Sajjad Ahmad, District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122, and other concerned officials.
*1. Inauguration of Deceased Care Service*
The Deputy Commissioner formally inaugurated the Deceased Care Service launched by Rescue 1122 at DHQ Hospital Layyah. The initiative aims to provide dignified, safe, and timely transportation of deceased persons, offering compassionate support to bereaved families during difficult times.
*2. Inspection of DHQ Hospital
Following the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a comprehensive inspection of DHQ Hospital to evaluate the quality of healthcare services and administrative performance.
*During the visit, he inspected:*
- Emergency Department and emergency preparedness.
- Medical and surgical wards.
- Hospital cleanliness and sanitation.
- Availability of medicines and essential medical supplies.
- Inventory management and hospital resources.
- Patient care standards and nursing services.
- Staff attendance by verifying duty rosters.
- Presence and punctuality of specialist doctors and paramedical staff.
The Deputy Commissioner interacted with patients and attendants to obtain firsthand feedback regarding the quality of healthcare services and directed the hospital administration to address issues promptly.
