The body doesn't tighten without a reason.

For a long time, I believed returning to the body meant learning how to relax.

Today, I see it differently.

Returning to the body is returning to a relationship.

A relationship with the only place that has been with you through every moment of your life.

Your body has witnessed everything.

Every joy.
Every disappointment.
Every time you silenced yourself.
Every time you said yes while something inside you quietly whispered no.

It never stopped speaking.

It was simply easier to listen to the voices outside than to the one within.

Little by little, we become fluent in explaining ourselves instead of feeling ourselves.

We analyse.

We justify.

We rationalise.

And almost without noticing, we lose the quiet conversation we once had with our own body.

The body still speaks.

Through a breath that suddenly becomes shallow.

Through a belly that tightens.

Through shoulders that never quite soften.

Not as an enemy.

As a companion that has been carrying our story all along.

The work is not to force the body into silence.

The work is to create enough stillness to hear it again.

To notice that some sensations belong to this moment.

Others belong to an old story that is still asking to be seen with compassion.

That is why, for me, healing has never been about fixing the body.

It has always been about rebuilding a relationship with ourselves.

Everything else grows from there.

Return. To your body. To feeling. To yourself.

So many women leave my treatment room saying,
"I didn't even realize how much tension I was carrying."

That's what happens when tension becomes your normal.

The first step is
allowing your body to remember what relaxation feels like.

Every session is an invitation to slow down, soften, and remember what your body has known all along: home has always been within you🪷

Sometimes your jaw tells a story your voice never got to express.

It is one of the places where I most often feel tension in the women who come to my practice.

When we begin working together, a familiar pattern often emerges beneath that tension. It is a story of years spent "holding it all together"—of being the reasonable one, the strong one, the one who avoids conflict at all costs.
She is the woman who learned to swallow her frustrations, her tears, her sharp comments, and her own truths.

In psychosomatics, the jaw is often associated with what remains unexpressed: the words we held back, the anger we weren't allowed to feel, and the needs we didn't learn how to ask for. Over time, the body adapts. It learns to brace, to guard, and to hold on.

Of course, not every tight jaw has an emotional origin. Physical factors like stress, sleep, posture, and breathing habits play a significant role.

Even so, I often find myself wondering how many women are still carrying around conversations that never actually happened. How many are still biting their tongue long after the moment has passed, having learned to stay quiet so early in life that they no longer even realize they are doing it.

The body remembers.

What your breath might be saying about the way you move through life?

Most people think breathing is automatic.
And it is.
But it's also deeply personal. The way we breathe often reflects the way we relate to life itself.

The inhale is about receiving.
Receiving support. Receiving pleasure. Receiving rest. Receiving life.

The exhale is about letting go.
Releasing control. Releasing tension. Releasing what no longer needs to be carried.

And the pauses between breaths can be just as revealing.
Some people hold their breath without noticing.
When they're concentrating. When they're overwhelmed. When they're waiting for something to happen.
As if a part of the body has learned:
Not yet. Not safe yet. Don't let go yet.
Over time, the breath becomes a story.

A shallow breath may not simply be a breathing pattern.
Sometimes it is a body that learned to stay small.
A body that learned to be careful.
A body that learned not to take up too much space.

And this is why I find breathwork so powerful. Because every deeper inhale can become an invitation to receive life a little more fully.
And every longer exhale can become permission to soften.
To stop holding quite so much.
