Tamu Sanitary Pads is proud to have stood alongside BCIEA and incredible partners at the Ulinzi Walk 2025!

This year’s walk brought together a powerful community united in one mission: raising awareness, spreading education, and strengthening Rwanda’s fight against breast cancer.

From impactful awareness sessions to free health screenings and youth engagement, the Ulinzi Walk reminded us that knowledge, early detection, and community unity save lives.

As a brand committed to women’s health, dignity, and menstrual wellbeing, we were honored to contribute to this movement and champion the wellbeing of girls and women across Rwanda.

A heartfelt thank you to BCIEA and all partners for making this year’s event truly meaningful. Together, we learn. Together, we protect. Together, we rise. 💗🌿

🩸 Together for a 🌍 | Menstrual Health Day 2025

On 28th May 2025, our CEO Mrs. Liliane Uwineza proudly joined partners and stakeholders at the Menstrual Health Day event hosted by AHF Rwanda and Rwanda NGO forum on HIV and Health promotion

Under the global theme “Together for a Period Friendly World”, this day amplified the collective voice advocating for:

1. Access to safe, affordable menstrual products

🩸 Breaking Barriers, Setting Standards: Tamu Sanitary Pads at the Forefront of Menstrual Health Innovation 🇷🇼🌍

From 12th to 16th May 2025 in Nairobi, history was made as global leaders, innovators, and technical experts came together for the ISO/TC 338 Menstrual Products plenary session — marking a milestone in advancing global menstrual product standards.

We’re especially proud of our CEO, Mrs. Liliane Uwineza, who represented Rwanda through the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) as a Technical Working Group Member. Her contribution reflects our shared commitment at Tamu Sanitary Pads to safe, sustainable, and inclusive menstrual health solutions.

Key achievements from the meeting:
1. Advanced global standards for single & multiple-use products
2. Enhanced safety to limit harmful chemicals
3. Broader access to safe, reusable products — especially in low- and middle-income countries
4. Support for SMEs to implement quality, reusable options

With 300 million people menstruating daily, this work addresses a critical global health and equity gap.

💬 “Menstrual equity is more than access—it’s about quality, affordability, safety, and breaking silence.” — Mrs. Liliane Uwineza

As a Made-in-Rwanda innovation, Tamu Sanitary Pads continue to lead in advocacy, affordability, and empowerment — because no one should be held back by their period.
