Today we had an incredible nature walk in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of the most beautiful and accessible areas of this ancient rainforest. Buhoma is located in the northern part of Bwindi in south-western Uganda, near the borders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This area is famous for its lush forest trails, rich biodiversity, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
Walking through the dense rainforest today was truly magical. Along the trail we discovered beautiful waterfalls hidden deep in the forest, vibrant wild flowers, and an incredible diversity of plant species that make Bwindi one of the most unique ecosystems in Africa. The peaceful sound of flowing water, birds singing in the canopy, and the cool fresh air of the rainforest made the experience even more special.
During our walk, we were also lucky to encounter some amazing wildlife. We spotted playful Red-tailed monkey and elegant Black-and-white colobus monkey moving gracefully through the trees. Seeing these beautiful primates in their natural habitat reminds us how rich and alive this forest truly is.
Nature walks in the Buhoma sector are more than just a hike — they are an opportunity to explore one of Africa’s oldest rainforests, discover hidden waterfalls, learn about different plant species, and connect deeply with nature.
