Mu En loves the natural style of makeup - especially Korean-inspired straight eyebrows and straight eyeliner, with radiant, glowing and moistful skin. Brands used for makeup: High quality products, Sephora brands such as Makeup Forever, Urban Decay, Tarte, Too Faced, MAC, Shu Uemura, Stila etc. Hygiene: Hygiene is of utmost importance to me as I used to have very bad acne when I was younger. Thus, I make sure to treat every client like how I would like to be treated - with clean tools. Brushes are deep cleansed with soap and water after every use, or with brush cleanser in between clients. Eyeshadows and lip products in my kit are sanitized regularly with alcohol. I also clean off excess powder/ lipstick on my palettes to make sure that they look sparkling clean!

Clean, classic bridal updo.
So elegant and beautiful.
Celine said, “I’ll leave the first look to your suggestions, but I want my 2nd look to be a clean updo”.
And I couldn’t wait!
Added a touch of pearl pins that matches her pearl earrings for that bridal touch ✨
She got in touch with me even before booking her venue and I’m so grateful for her love and trust ❤️❤️✨

Here’s how we planned for this sleek bridal updo:
Many brides ask me if they have an updo with no fringe, will their face look fat/round/bare? Totally legit question!
Key points of this look:
- No fringe, clean sides that round off softly at the edges
- Soft face framing curves
- Slight volume at the crown
Bride’s concerns:
- Hairline:
Honestly her hairline was really not an issue in my eyes! But we covered the scalp with a little dark hair powder and set with hairspray
- Will she look too bare and ‘bald’?!:
She has beautiful features that can be highlighted through this look! I also advised her to use a bigger earring to give a statement to the look while looking minimalist.
- Balacing the look:
The face can look exposed with this look so we had a little more contour and blush to balance her features and stand out in photos. ✨
- Not too much volume at the crown:
Yes, I get it! Modern bridal looks typically don’t have ‘too much volume’ at the crown, but we still need some volume to make the look appear fuller.
I personally think that this look is soo beautiful on her because she has the charisma to pull it off. ❤️❤️❤️

I love that Candice’s dress had a little retro vibe and we went with a warm toned soft smokey eye that is tailored to her single eyelids. The winged liner really brought out the retro vibe of her dress more! For hair I gave her volume and not too much waves/curls so she’ll still look effortless and youthful, with a little tuck of the hair with a pin at the side!
This was a neighbourhood walk casual PWS shoot but it was so fun and vibesey which I loveee Eugene // Bottled Groove Photography 10/10 as always.
