The New York Times found hundreds of A.I.-generated doctors, healers and wellness influencers on social media touting the health benefits of supplements to American consumers. Many of these hyperrealistic looking ads promise medical miracles, and appear to be targeting older women, while making misleading health claims for a profit.

When to use sunscreen. The answer is yes☝️
☀️ Sports or lots of time outside (especially on bright, cloudless days) is a higher risk because you get both UVB and UVA.
☁️ UVB might not be as big a concern on cloudy days but UVA is.
🪟 Never go out? UVB can’t pass through windows but UVA does.
💡 If skin cancer isn’t motivating you, clarifying dark blotches from hyperpigmentations might — daily sunscreen (even indoors!) is fundamental to hyperpigmentation therapy.
💧 Skin looks and feels less dry and healthier when it’s protected from damaging rays.
🌏 All skins on all people — no matter your race or skin tone — benefit from sunscreen. Even kids (ultraviolet damage is cumulative).
🗓️ Whatever your concern, daily sunscreen — all year round — helps!

That healthy skin also looks more vibrant tends to obscure the fact that the skin plays a tremendously important role in your overall health.

VALIDATED Hypoallergenic 🔦 Spotlight: “clean” products with natural ingredients
🤷 “Clean” and “natural” are not regulated terms and can mean lots of different things.
🌺 Many natural ingredients are top contact allergens. These include fruit and flower extracts, citruses, mint, eucalyptus, beeswax, essential oils, etc.
❌ Even if your “clean, natural” product contains less “bad” ingredients it might still contain top skin allergens.
😇 Most of our products are allergen-free. If an allergen happens to be present in a formulation, we show you — front and center: the product’s VH-Rating is lower AND the allergen is clearly marked in the ingredients list. That way you can see it clearly and decide: if you’ve patch tested positive to the ingredient, choose another product. If not, you’re good to go!
🙋 Got a patch test but still not sure if you’re avoiding your allergens? Ask us to customize recommendations for you based on your test results and possible cross reactants.
Your moment of pure, unadulterated joy today 😊 🐢 ✨

When you spend 10 minutes adding music to a six second video in exactly the right spot to amuse your sister who loves turtles
These are a few of the myths and misconceptions we hear a LOT …
⚗️ “I don’t use anything with chemicals.” Yes you do. Everything has chemicals. Even water.
🍋 “It can’t be what’s causing my skin problems it’s all natural.” Natural is awesome. Nature is life and good and beautiful and to be treasured and protected. Also true: lots of top skin allergens are natural like beeswax, citruses, floral extracts, essential oils, and more.
🧴 “But it says for kids” (or “dermatologist tested ” or “for sensitive skin”): Most of these claims aren’t regulated. “Hypoallergenic” is better regulated. We take it further with our VH-Rating: we show you how many allergens are omitted and if there is one present, which one it is so you know if you can use the product or choose another one.
😠 “The last product I used gave me a rash (or acne).” Actually, it’s probably not the case. A true allergy needs sensitization, which can take weeks. Typical acne needs a pore to clog up, which also takes time. Reactions are often from things you’ve been using for some time.
😵💫 “It says it’s super safe and sulfate free why am I still reacting!” Whatever-free might be good … or it might not. It doesn’t say what’s still IN the product. Sulfates aren’t contact allergens but the ingredients often used to replace them (amido-amines) are. And the product may have other top allergens like fragrance, preservatives, or dyes.
🔍 “I saw on social media that this is awesome” or “I asked AI” or “I’ll just keep trying stuff till I find something that works.” All not great if you have a history of skin issues like sensitivity, acne, melasma, dryness, etc. Your best bet is seeing a dermatologist, maybe getting a patch test, and avoiding your allergens.
