I agree with almost everything she said. 👏🏽
Setting boundaries and respecting your time as a loctician is important.
The only things I see differently are consultations during a retightening and the idea of an 8-hour retightening.
For me, a consultation during a retightening doesn't automatically make the service take longer. I'm able to haken en breien at the same time. While my hands are working, I can explain the process, answer questions, and discuss a future installation. That's why my clients don't complain—they still receive quality work and leave well informed.
And about an 8-hour retightening... that's a bit excessive in most cases. In my opinion, the only time a retightening should take that long is if the client has gone 5 to 6 months without maintenance, resulting in significant new growth, matting, or repairs. Under normal maintenance schedules, a retightening shouldn't be taking anywhere near that long.
That's why I PERSONALLY CHARGE BY THE HOUR.
Every loctician has their own workflow, and that's perfectly fine.
But baby... nah if I'm at 4 hours I get bored 😴
That's why I have a strict schedule is work with.
This is simply what has worked well for me and my clients. 🌿✨
