Can you guess which two of our teammembers made it in the Top 10 finalists ?

Here is a hint: they both completed our Robotics training/Tech Genius Programs and are members of our Robotech & Innovation Intelligence Community Suriname.

One is also a senior mentor and has represented Suriname as member of the national Robotics Team Suriname - FIRST Global, while the other has volunteerd during our HYPE Su Open day event in Torarica and also at the recent SEOGS Summit & Exhibition2026.

Zooming in on our valued ✨️ teammembers ✨️✨️ and members of Robotech & Innovation Intelligence Community Suriname

This year marks 7 years Joel and Seth onboarded our Robotics Training leading up to their selected as part of Suriname's national Robotics Team 🇸🇷 in 2019 at FIRST Global in Mexico City... going on to mentor and inspire many more kids upon return for 6 years after and counting. They are not only part of Robotics Team Suriname but have supported various other YHS programs through the years such as: Wiskids Suriname and Math Master - part of our HYPE Su project and have been important part of various of our Inspiration Missions across Suriname (see website for more info).

Some background:
After FGC, Joel Naarendorp was selected as member of the FIRST Robotics Competition Suriname pioneer Team in 2023 - the team that won both the Rookie All Star Award at FRC Regionals in Florida and the Rookie Inspirarion Awards FRC World Championships - Daly division in Texas 🇺🇸.
After FGC, Seth Tjokrodimedjo became part of the travelling mentors team for FGC 2022 to Switserland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and contributed as part of our Math education Wiskids activities team.

Both are part of our valued team and we appreciate their commitment and part in creating positive impact in Suriname 🇸🇷

💥💥 His excellency, minister Andrew Baasaron of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation 💥💥 with members of our
national Robotics Team 🇸🇷 (l-r):
Ayan Jhagroe (Lead Mentor FGC + FRC), Leonardo Ranoesendjojo (Sr. Mentor Coding) and Brendan Soero (Tech Genius Program Mentor). All three represented Suriname at one or more FIRST Global/ FRC events (USA 3x, UAE, Singapore) winning awards and a silver medal on platforms with 180+countries, Regional (Florida) and World Championship (Texas).

💡✨️ The team and YHS appreciate the Ministry of Ezoti's leadership through the department of Technological Innovation in executing an independent assessment led by Catalyste+ CANADA (CCEDM) of labs/institutes in Suriname for establishing i.e. innovation levels. The results presented in Residence Inn set a strong foundation for strategic follow-up for Building The Future Together. 😃 Institutes assessed were i.e YHS, UNASAT, ADEK, PTC, IOT Lab.

From a meeting way up in the air 🛩🛫.....to empowering local capacity in Suriname together. 🇸🇷
