As may 12 is celebrated to honour and remembrance the service and dedication, hardworking and sacrifice being offered by Florence Nightingale (born May 12, 1820, Florence [Italy]—died August 13, 1910, London, England) was a British nurse, statistician, and social reformer who was the foundational philosopher of modern nursing. Nightingale was put in charge of nursing British and allied soldiers in Turkey during the Crimean War.
She is the founder of modern nursing, I equally and echo inspire to honour all nurses for the hardworking, sacrifice and healing they are offering to the patient.

When I think about all the patients and their loved ones I have worked with over the years in different various facilities in south Sudan, I know most of them don’t remember me, nor do they. But I do know that I gave a little piece of myself to each of them, and they to me, and those threads make up the tapestry that is my career in Nursing.
As a nurse we have the opportunity to heal the mind, soul, heart, and body of our patients. They may forget your name but they will never forget how you made them feel.

I'm so honour and blessings to celebrate this occasion...
Ever interception of covid_19 novel pandemic hit the world, along with the doctors and other health care practitioners, nurses have become "hero" for doing a selfless job in saving and caring the patients. They have been great support to the medical staffs in taking care of patients with different medical complications. Today I'm so honour to join my colleagues every year on May 12.
We celebrated this day together to thanks and honour our efforts, the day commemorates the birth anniversary of the world's most famous Nurse, Florence Nightingale, know s"the lady with lamp" he was a social reformer and a statistician. She rose to fame while saving as a trainer and manager of nurses during the crimean war.
As this day is especial day, I extended my especial happiness to be among medical practitioners and serving round the clock a mid such a challenging times, putting our lives at risk. Let's continue saving the humanity.
