Traces of Tuberose: L’OR THER The love at first sight for fragrances always happens for no reason. Mostly due to their appearance, like the gorgeous bottle. Without the intriguing composition in it, this kind of love as a blind buy would decline for a reason too. L’OR THER by Inner Peace is exquisite, I admit. I randomly found the post on Facebook where the brand went to a perfume event in BKK in July. Then, the gorgeous bottles captured the moment of what I needed to figure out. Based on five of their creations, L’OR THER tells the beauty of Chud Thai, the Thai national costume, through fragrance accords that are blended as delicately as its given name. Moreover, it’s Thai and as pretty as I expected. The whole mood I experienced with this proud-to-present cultural pride was the tuberose facet with complex Thai floral notes, which lasts with a powdery trace that is sweet and gentle on the skin. Somehow, I feel like the backbone of this composition sits precisely in Thai heritage, Nam Op, a traditional Thai fragrant water made by smoking the water with scented candles, then blending it with Thai flowers such as jasmine, ylang-ylang, and rose. So, it’s giving a throwback or classic vibe that I rarely reach for on an office day. Btw, I really enjoy spraying it at night in bed. My skin is sweet and powdery, like I mentioned, and somehow it makes me sleep well all night long. @innerpeace2565 L’OR THER • Kaffir Lime, Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose, Thai White Floral, Sweet Powder, Sandalwood PS. The brand also sent me a discovery set which included four other scents inspired by the sophisticated textiles and craftsmanship of Asian countries.
