Here’s a faith-centered Facebook post that keeps the health claims responsible—unforgiveness can intensify chronic stress, but it is not a substitute explanation for disease or medical treatment. [The American Heart Association](https://www.heart.org/en/healthy-living/healthy-lifestyle/stress-management/stress-and-heart-health) notes that chronic stress is linked with inflammation and high blood pressure; [NCCIH](https://www.nccih.nih.gov/health/stress) notes it may worsen sleep, digestive problems, and other symptoms.

How many of us are doing all the “right” things—taking supplements, going for treatments, seeing doctors, changing our diet—and still carrying a heart that is exhausted by what it refuses to release?

Unforgiveness is not simply a spiritual issue. It can become a burden we carry in our bodies. When we replay the wound, live in anger, or remain guarded by bitterness, the body can stay in a prolonged state of stress. Over time, that stress can affect sleep, blood pressure, inflammation, digestion, mood, and the choices we make to cope.

This does not mean that unforgiveness is the cause of every illness, or that prayer and forgiveness should replace medical care. We need wise physicians, proper treatment, and healthy habits. But we must also be willing to ask: “Is there pain in my heart that I have never allowed God to heal?”

A woman I’ll call *Marcia* had been living with progressive liver disease. She had consulted several doctors and followed treatment plans faithfully, yet her condition continued to worsen. During a lifestyle consultation, the conversation gently moved beyond food, medication, and exercise to the wounds she had been carrying for years.

She began to speak about the betrayal, the anger, and the family member she had vowed never to forgive.

Marcia did not deny what happened. She did not excuse it. But she chose to release the debt from her heart and place the matter in God’s hands. She sought counselling, continued her medical care, changed aspects of her lifestyle, and began the slow work of forgiveness.

Within a few weeks her liver disease healed. Her peace returned. Her sleep improved. She became more consistent with her care, more hopeful, and more emotionally free.

Sometimes healing begins where no scan can reach: in the heart.

Her story brings to mind the woman in Mark 5:25–34. For twelve years she suffered, had seen many physicians, spent all she had, and instead of getting better, grew worse. Then she encountered Jesus.

May we never despise medical help. And may we never overlook the healing Jesus wants to bring to the hidden places within us.

Who do you need to forgive—not because what they did was acceptable, but because you deserve to be free?

“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” — Colossians 3:13

🌅 Good Morning from Entera Health & Wellness

If you woke up this morning feeling like you've run out of hope, this message is for you. ❤️

Sometimes life becomes so heavy that simply getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain. If that's where you are today, know this: your current feelings are not the final chapter of your story.

There are reasons to keep pressing on today:

🌱 Every sunrise is a reminder that new beginnings are possible.
🧠 Your brain can heal, adapt, and grow. Small, positive actions repeated over time literally strengthen new pathways of hope and resilience.
💙 Your life has value—even if you can't see it right now.
👣 One small step today is better than waiting for the strength to take ten tomorrow.
🤝 You are not meant to carry every burden alone. Reach out. Let someone walk with you.

And for those who trust in God, there is an even greater hope:

📖 "Why art thou cast down, O my soul?... hope thou in God." — Psalm 42:11 (KJV)

God is still faithful.
He has not forgotten you.
He is still working, even when you cannot see it.
His grace is enough for today, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).

Today, don't focus on the whole journey. Focus on the next faithful step:
🙏 Pray.
📖 Read one Bible verse.
🚶 Take a short walk.
💧 Drink some water.
🍎 Nourish your body.
📞 Call someone you trust.
💛 Choose one small act of kindness.

Tiny faithful steps, repeated day by day, often become the path to remarkable healing.

No matter what you're facing today, don't give up. The God who brought you this far is able to carry you through the next step.

🌿 Hope is not pretending life is easy. Hope is believing that God is still at work, even when the way forward isn't clear.

May God fill your heart with peace, courage, and hope today.

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." — Romans 15:13 (KJV)

The prevalence of diabetes has skyrocketed in the Caribbean over the years. Once a relatively rare condition, diabetes has now become a widespread epidemic, affecting a growing number of people. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), the number of people living with diabetes globally has nearly doubled in the past two decades. In 1997, 151 million people were affected, while by 2019, that number had surged to 463 million. Projections suggest that by 2045, more than 700 million people could have diabetes.

In the Caribbean, Type 2 diabetes is particularly prevalent, often due to high rates of obesity. Over 60% of adults in the Caribbean are either overweight or obese, increasing the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. The consumption of processed foods, and sugary drinks, and a shift away from traditional diets further exacerbate the situation.

But Why is Diabetes on the Rise in the Caribbean?
The answer is simple, and you might already know it. In Caribbean communities, food is more than just sustenance; it’s a central part of cultural identity and social gatherings. Traditional dishes, often rich in carbohydrates, sugars, and fats, are now being heavily influenced by Western fast food, leading to rising obesity rates. Unfortunately, due to economic constraints, processed foods are often more affordable and accessible than fresh, nutritious options.

But there’s more to the story. The Caribbean’s health crisis is also shaped by deep-rooted historical and social factors. The legacy of colonization and plantation economies has long-lasting effects on dietary habits and lifestyles. Many people work long hours in sedentary jobs, and in some areas, public spaces for exercise are scarce. To make matters worse, a stigma surrounding diabetes prevents many individuals from seeking early diagnosis and treatment.

🚨 STOP SCROLLING! 🚨

What if I told you that your mood, energy, cravings, brain fog, and even your patience today could be influenced by your blood sugar... even if you DON'T have diabetes? 🤯

Most people wait until they're diagnosed with diabetes before paying attention to their blood sugar. By then, years of damage may have already begun.

The truth is: Blood sugar affects everyone, every single day.

Do you ever experience...
❓ Feeling "hangry" when you haven't eaten?
❓ Brain fog or trouble concentrating?
❓ Feeling shaky or dizzy?
❓ Sudden fatigue after a meal?
❓ Intense sugar cravings?
❓ Mood swings or irritability for no obvious reason?

These can all be signs that your blood sugar isn't as stable as it should be.

🩸 Low blood sugar may cause:
• Shakiness
• Sweating
• Hunger
• Anxiety or irritability
• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Difficulty concentrating

🩸 High blood sugar may cause:
• Excessive thirst
• Frequent urination
• Blurred vision
• Fatigue
• Dry mouth
• Increased hunger
• Slow healing

🧠 Here's something many people don't know: Your brain uses more glucose than any other organ in your body. When your blood sugar swings wildly, your thinking, memory, decision-making, and emotional control can suffer.

The good news? Stable blood sugar is something you can work toward with simple daily habits:
🥗 Eat balanced meals.
🥜 Include protein and fiber.
🚶 Move your body every day.
💧 Stay hydrated.
😴 Prioritize quality sleep.
🍩 Cut back on sugary drinks and ultra-processed foods.
🩺 Know your fasting blood sugar—even if you feel "healthy."

📖 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." — 3 John 1:2 (KJV)

👇 Let's learn together!
Have you ever noticed your mood or energy change when you skip a meal or eat too much sugar? Share your experience in the comments—and don't forget to share this post. It might help someone recognize warning signs before they become a bigger problem.

🌿 FIGHT FOR YOUR PEACE 🧠🙏🏽

Your peace is not something you should casually sacrifice every day.

At work.
At home.
In your marriage.
With family.
With friends.
On social media.
In stressful conversations.

There will always be people and circumstances capable of pushing your buttons—but you don't have to hand them the remote control to your nervous system. 🎮

🧠 Every time you lose your temper, your body pays a price.

Anger activates the brain's threat system, particularly the amygdala, and triggers the sympathetic nervous system—the body's "fight-or-flight" response.

Your heart rate rises.
Your muscles tense.
Stress hormones increase.
Your thinking can become more reactive.
And when this happens repeatedly, your nervous system can become accustomed to living on high alert.

That's why constantly saying, "That's just how I am—I have a temper" isn't harmless.

Your brain can learn anger. But praise God, your brain can also learn peace. 🔁🧠

📖 "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." — Proverbs 15:1

Fighting for your peace doesn't mean being passive.

It means learning when to:

🛑 Walk away from an escalating argument.
🛑 Say, "I'm not going to continue this conversation while we're angry."
🛑 Establish healthy boundaries.
🛑 Stop repeatedly putting yourself in environments that constantly provoke you.
🛑 Limit conversations that consistently become toxic.
🛑 Take a pause before responding.
🛑 Breathe, pray, and allow your prefrontal cortex to come back online before making a decision.

A boundary isn't punishment. It's protection.

Sometimes protecting your peace means changing the environment.

Sometimes it means changing who has access to you.

Sometimes it means changing how you respond.

And sometimes it means admitting:

"I need to stop participating in situations that I know repeatedly bring out the worst in me."

🙏🏽 Jesus Himself understood the importance of withdrawing from the noise.

"And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed." — Luke 5:16

If Jesus made space to withdraw and pray, we shouldn't feel guilty about needing moments of quiet either.

🌿 Today, ask yourself:

What situations repeatedly steal my peace?

Who consistently pulls me into unnecessary conflict?

What boundaries do I need to establish?

Where do I need to stop reacting and start responding?

And perhaps most importantly:

What am I allowing to control my nervous system that I need to surrender to God?

You cannot control every person.

You cannot control every circumstance.

You cannot prevent every stressful moment.

But you can increasingly learn to control your response.

🧠 Don't let somebody else's lack of peace become your nervous system's permanent address.

📖 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." — Isaiah 26:3

Fight for your peace.

Protect your mind.

Set healthy boundaries.

Slow down your reactions.

Pray before responding.

Peace isn't weakness. Peace is strength under control. 💪🏽🌿

Count your blessings like I just did.

25/08/2026

Hey there friends. I'd like to challenge each of you to post things your grateful for that aligns with your age. You will be amazed how many blessings you've received even the ones that didn't seem like the were for your good. For my birthday here's what I have..

Here's the list 📃...

32 things I'm thankful for

1. My family/friends and their support through every season of my life, the love I was when I was at my worst.

2. The disappointments that taught me not to build my identity on success. Things I once depended on were stripped away, forcing me to discover that I am still valuable when I cannot produce, perform, earn, or accomplish. That I'm loved by God and others for just being me and choosing to be present.

3. Every failure that humbled me and made me teachable.

4. The prayers that seemed unanswered, but developed my patience.

5. A home filled with opportunities to serve. Everyday serving our family prepares me to serve on a bigger scale.

6. Every difficult conversation that helped me grow in courage.

7. This season of stillness that has forced me to secure my identity in Christ.

8. A body that forgives all of the difficulties I put it through.

9. This season of spiritual dryness that challenged my faith but showed me that God truly is a loving father who never leaves or forsakes me.

10. The ability to take what's around me and make something useful.

11. An Online platform and business to reach people doing what I love.

12. Books, podcasts, and online courses that aided me in my mental healing journey (—understanding the nervous system, thought patterns, emotional regulation, rest, habits, and the power of reframing my thoughts), marriage (my understanding of my wife and how to best relate to her, how to sympathize/empathize with her, how to make it through difficult seasons, how to communicate, showed that our difficulties were not new but common and others found answers that we too could find, etc, manhood (that I can feel and express human emotions, weakness, tiredness without feeling ashamed, strength isn't always pushing forward. Sometimes strength looks like resting, asking for help, admitting weakness, and taking the next small step.) and tools for parenting.

13. The anxiety/panic attacks that reminded me I need rest/to release control of the future.

14. The nights when I couldn't sleep that forced me to fill the time with prayer.

15. The closed doors that redirected my life in ways I couldn't have imagined.

16. The setbacks that developed my perseverance I couldn't have learned any other way.

17. The times I wanted to give up in despair, death seemed perferable to life but chose to keep walking anyway.

18. When finances always came in right on time even though I didn't know at first where it would come from.

19. The person I am becoming because I didn't allow pain to have the final word.

20. The ability to start over as many times as I need knowing that it's going to take as long as it takes to get to the next level.

21. I can be thankful that vulnerability created relationships that may never have existed if I had continued pretending everything was fine.

22. I learned the difference between having a thought and believing a thought. My brain can produce something without that something being the true.

23. I've learned that progress doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes progress is simply getting through today, regulating my emotions, choosing a healthier thought, praying, talking to someone instead of isolating, or trying again tomorrow.

24. I can love God and he can love me while I go through challenges in my health and mind, being a Christian doesn't shield me from challenges.

25. The privilege of being a father, with daily opportunities to watch our children grow and train them while parenting reveals the areas I need to grow in patience and understanding.

26. The intrusive thoughts that forced me to seek the truth and challenge the lies

27. The compassion for others that grew from my own suffering.

28. Having my capacity stretched to prove I can do more than I first believed.

29. God's word/His promises that have met every doubt I've had, brought truth to challenge every lie I believed.

30. The fears I couldn't avoid that when faced brought a richer meaning to my life.

31. The beauty of God's creation here in Trinidad, where nature reminds me of His care. Seeing him feed the birds being a constant reminder that he will care for my family.

32. The gift of music. Songs to help me sleep at night, music that came right on time in moments of despair, instruments to play and hymns to sing,

This text was crucial for me to remember in this year of healing, redirection, physical and mental challenges.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." — Romans 8:28 (KJV)

Whatever comes to me comes from the Saviour, who surrounds me with His presence. Nothing can touch me except by the Lord’s permission. All my sufferings and sorrows, all my temptations and trials, all my sadness and griefs, all my persecutions and privations, in short, all things work together for my good. All experiences and circumstances are God’s workmen whereby good is brought to me. HDL 30.3

🛡️ Your Immune System Is Built Every Day—Not Just When You're Sick

Many people think the immune system depends only on taking vitamin C when they catch a cold. In reality, your immune system is influenced by the choices you make every single day.

🌿 1. Gut Health Matters
Did you know that about 70–80% of your immune system is associated with your gut? A healthy gut microbiome helps train immune cells, reduce inflammation, and protect against harmful germs. Feed your gut with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, and fermented foods when appropriate.

🥗 2. Nutrition Is Your First Medicine
Choose foods rich in:
✅ Vitamin C (citrus, guava, bell peppers)
✅ Vitamin D (safe sunlight exposure and fortified foods)
✅ Vitamin A (sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin)
✅ Vitamin E (nuts and seeds)
✅ Zinc (beans, lentils, seeds)
✅ Selenium (whole grains and nuts like Brazil nuts)

Avoid excess sugar, ultra-processed foods, alcohol, and excessive saturated fats, which can weaken immune function and promote inflammation.

😴 3. Sleep Rebuilds Your Defenses
Your body produces important immune building proteins while you sleep. Regular, quality sleep strengthens your ability to fight infections.

🚶 4. Move Your Body
Moderate daily exercise improves circulation, allowing immune cells to move efficiently throughout the body.

😌 5. Stress Silently Weakens Immunity
Chronic stress raises cortisol, which suppresses immune function, increases inflammation, and slows healing. Make time for prayer, deep breathing, gratitude, and meaningful relationships.

💧 6. Water Supports Every Cell
Proper hydration helps transport nutrients, remove waste, and keeps your body's protective barriers functioning well.

The immune system isn't strengthened by one supplement—it's strengthened by a healthy lifestyle practiced consistently.

📖 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." — 3 John 2 (KJV)

Small daily choices create a stronger body, a clearer mind, and a healthier future. 💚

What Is Joy? 🌿

Joy is not the absence of pain—it is the presence of hope. Happiness often depends on what is happening around us, but joy comes from knowing that God is with us, even when life is at its hardest.

Neuroscience shows that choosing gratitude, hope, and trust strengthens the brain's resilience. While our amygdala reacts to fear and stress, focusing on God's promises helps engage the prefrontal cortex, allowing us to think clearly, persevere, and recover more effectively.

The Bible reminds us, "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10, KJV). Joy doesn't deny our tears; it gives us strength to keep walking through them. Even Jesus, "for the joy that was set before him endured the cross" (Hebrews 12:2, KJV).

If you're in a difficult season today, don't wait for your circumstances to change before you choose joy. Joy is a daily decision to trust that God is working, even when you cannot yet see the outcome.

Joy is not pretending life is easy. It is believing that God is still good. 💛
