Have you ever noticed that the same nails on your right and left hands can look completely different?

And that’s absolutely normal. 🤍
Our hands are not perfectly symmetrical — and neither are our nails.
The nail bed on one hand may be longer or wider, the sidewalls may grow differently, the C-curve can be stronger, and even the direction of nail growth can vary from finger to finger.
That means two nails can have exactly the same free-edge length and still look like they are different lengths.
This is why, when I shape nails, I don’t simply copy the exact same measurements from one hand to the other. I look at the entire nail: the nail bed, width, sidewalls, growth direction and overall proportions.
The goal isn’t to make every natural nail identical — because nature rarely gives us identical nails.
The goal is to create visual balance and harmony between both hands. ✨
Sometimes one nail needs to be slightly shorter, narrower or shaped a little differently to make the finished manicure look symmetrical.
Good shaping is not about following a template. It’s about working with the natural anatomy of each nail.
