Shatara began her hair career learning from her now co-owner, Hope Thacker, who helped shape the foundation of her passion for the beauty industry. From there, she took a leap and moved to Nashville to chase a dream and grow her career, specializing in wedding and event hair and getting the opportunity to be part of so many meaningful moments. 🤍

Eventually, she found her way back home to Abingdon, where Hope Thacker, Natalie McConnell, and she came together to create Roots Hair Co. Behind the chair, she loves creating beautiful lived in blondes and customized hair extensions that help her clients feel confident and effortlessly themselves.

As much as she loves the artistry of hair, her favorite part of this career is the people. She truly values the relationships she builds with every client who sits in her chair and loves creating a space where they can relax, feel cared for, and leave feeling their absolute best. 💈💕

Molly loves spending time with her fiancé, Jake, her golden doodle, Oakley, her family, and her bestest of friends. She enjoys traveling, especially discovering new places, taking pictures, and of course, a good shopping day! 🛍️

She’s a proud Tennessee fan 🍊, loves folk music and country concerts, and you can always count her in for some Chick-fil-A! 🐓🤍

Molly is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business. After graduating, she decided to follow her passion for beauty and pursue a career in the hair industry.

She’s excited to begin this new chapter at Roots, learn from our talented team, and grow her knowledge and skills behind the chair. Molly is looking forward to all the learning, creating, and new experiences that come with becoming a part of the beauty industry! 🪮
