Going darker after being blonde takes more than just throwing brown on the hair. Understanding underlying pigment and warmth is KEY to creating a beautiful, natural-looking result. 🎨🤎

This client had previous level 5 permanent color that had been sitting for about 8 months. We started the process of lifting out that old color with a dimensional highlight to gradually work her lighter while keeping the hair healthy.

Remember this beauty? She was my PLATINUM & BLACK queen… and today she left with THIS. 🤎✨

I started by removing the old faded out black underneath, selectively lightened it to blend with the top, created a deeper lived-in root + dimensional lowlights, and finished with a soft neutral-beige gloss while keeping her blonde bright.

The blonde stayed. The dimension just got REAL. ✨
