Here are 3 summer skincare mistakes I’d NEVER make and why:

🚫 Ditching my moisturizer.
Just because it’s hot outside doesn’t mean your skin stops needing hydration. If your moisturizer feels too heavy, don’t skip it—switch to a lightweight formula instead. Hydrated skin is healthy skin, no matter the season.

🚫 Prioritizing harsh actives over hydration.
Heat and UV exposure can leave your skin dehydrated and more reactive. Instead of reaching for stronger exfoliants, I’d focus on restoring hydration first. Your skin will always perform better when it’s healthy before it’s being corrected.

🚫 Skipping my SPF reapplication.
Sunscreen helps protect your skin from premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and UV damage—but one application in the morning isn’t enough. If you’re spending time outdoors, reapplying every 2 hours helps keep your skin protected.

Your skin doesn’t need a completely new routine every summer—it just needs a routine that makes sense for the season.
