One of the most wonderful benefits, besides skincare, of hydrosols is their subtle aromatherapeutic effects. Of course, the hydrosol needs to be naturally highly fragrant, and every Tender Flower floral water is, because they’re distilled for quality over volume.

Distillation season, and recent images from the gardens.

Exuberant blooms from around the farm, where most of my time is being spent the last three months, because… it’s Spring!

Inhaling the breath of sweet viola odorata every day, lately. Most people aren’t familiar with these delicate but potently fragrant little blossoms. They hide under the leaves, so I stroke my hand carefully over the clumps to see who’s too shy to raise her head!
The feeling of sweet violet’s scent is like someone who empathizes with all your cares and tender feelings, then gives you a taste of grown up violet candy full of love and sympathy. Mmmm.
These will go into the current enfleurage, and some of the leaves will go into yet another type of aromatic extraction.
