🧡 Check out some fun facts about each of these amazing women owned and led brands on each slide!
* BDS info: while not all of these brands are on the official BDS compliance list. They all exhibit ethical practices, charitable efforts, or a determination to make the world a better place for everyone. The same cannot be said for Naturium and their founder
Activist Skincare: The brand gives 1% of revenue to human-rights organizations and 1% to environmental causes, supports organizations such as the National Immigrant Justice Center and Earthjustice, and emphasizes living wages, ethical in-house production, and inclusive sourcing.
GlyMed+: A very charitable brand, including its Marie’s Gift program, which provides oncology-safe skincare to cancer patients, annual donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, support for veterans and first responders, animal-rescue organizations, and $25,000 in racial-justice donations. The company also created a diversity advisory committee and expanded education around skin of color.
Cocokind: Emphasizes transparency, sustainability, ethical ingredient sourcing, cruelty-free production, and inclusivity. The company is publicly transparent about its carbon footprint.
Skin Script: An education forward brand with a focus on transparency and support for licensed skincare professionals. It is a brand made by esthetician for estheticians. They are a go to for solo estheticians just starting out. And contribute to scholarships for estheticians.
Bloomeffects: Focuses heavily on environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing, cruelty-free production, and circular agriculture. The company upcycles tulip bulbs that would otherwise become agricultural waste, uses recycled packaging.
More about Dieux: Dieux co-founder Charlotte Palermino is one of my personal role models in the esthetics industry. She has used her public platform to speak about reproductive rights, immigration, cannabis policies and the genocide in Palestine.
She is quite simply, a bad ass 🔥🔥🔥
More about Bloomeffects: The brand founder Kim van Haaster moved to the Nethe
