We know this process has taken a little longer than we originally anticipated. Right now, we’re still working through the final city and construction pieces needed before we can officially move forward. Unfortunately, those timelines aren’t entirely in our hands - and we don’t want to begin interviewing until we can give our future waxers a realistic timeline for what comes next.

Thank you for being so incredibly patient with us. We truly appreciate every application, message, and person who has continued to follow along while we build this thing.

Once the ball is back in our court, things are going to move FAST.

✨What exactly is The Wax District?✨

The Wax District is Amarillo’s newest dedicated waxing studio.

Built specifically for waxing, TWD will bring together talented waxers, a great work environment, and an experience we think the Amarillo area is going to LOVE.

TWD by SKIN - a new location, a new team, and a whole new experience.

Stay tuned! In the coming weeks we’ll be introducing our Founding Team, our Found Waxers (when we hire them), showing you what makes TWD different, and bringing you along as we build.

IT’S OFFICIAL. Our building plans have been approved by the City of Amarillo! 🙌🏻

So what’s next?

We’re waiting on the final construction contract, and then we can finally start watching The Wax District come to life. We’ll be bringing you along with progress photos, videos, and plenty of behind-the-scenes as the space starts taking shape.

We’ve also had an incredible response from professionals interested in joining our Founding Team. Applications are still being reviewed, and we’re so excited about the people we’ve connected with so far.
