ISU Weight Club

As the school year comes to an end, we want to showcase this years legacy lifters who will be graduating.

Mark will be graduating with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science
He will be heading to University of Chicago Illinois for PHD in physical therapy
His Favorite weight club memory - “having people hype me up for a 500 lbs deadlift while I listened to From the Start by Laufey”

Cody will be graduating with a degree in Industrial Technology. He plans to work a full-time position in Central Iowa. His favorite weight club memory is getting in late night lifts at the club.

Emma is graduating with a Marketing degree
Emma will be working for worldwide logistics in Urbandale, IA
Her favorite memory was going to the Iowa open meet and cheering on everyone in club

Keller will graduate with a degree in political science and sociology
He plans to return to isu for masters in public policy
Keller’s favorite memory was competing at the college nationals in 2025

Carter is graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering
He will be working as a Process Engineer for Procter and Gamble in Iowa City within their Oral B facilities.
His favorite memory pulling 551 for the first time in front of the late night squad. A ton of energy and great environment to PR in.

Blake is graduating with a degree in Agriculture Systems Technology and a degree in Industrial Technology
He plans to study at DMACC and get a degree in Diesel Technology and maybe eventually open my own mechanics shop.
His favorite memory was Lifting in the club
at 3am when no one else is there

Claire is majoring in Agricultural Studies
She plans to work at Linn County Coop in sales
Her favorite memory was singing 2000’s hits with everyone in club my freshman year

Paul
Paul majored in Aerospace engineering
He plans to work as a pilot after graduation
His favorite memories at club were hitting PR’s and doing drop sets on the hack squat

Christian
Christian is graduating with a degree in Computer science. After graduation, he plans to start his own business. His favorite memory was going to the Iowa state open meet this year

USAPL Collegiate Nationals 2026

This year we took 8 lifters down to New Orleans to compete at Collegiate Nationals for powerlifting!
