✨”Glowing skin, Growing confidence" ✨

Social media makes everything always seem so easy, flawless and polished and that can be so frustrating and confusing to compare your step 1 to someone’s else’s step 100 because they don’t show the other 99 steps it took to get there.
Real skin, life, and results doesn’t work the way that it is so often portrayed.
Your skin is constantly changing, responding, healing, and adapting to both internal and external shifts. That makes my job as an esthetician not to promise perfection, but to help you realistically understand and manage your skin health , set realistic expectations, and create a plan that evolves if/when needed when responding to any shifts.
When you understand why your skin behaves the way it does, you stop fighting it and start working with it; in your own pace, time and journey.
Oops 🤭
Want that “snatched” glow before a big event? This is one of my favorite treatments for exactly that.
This mask gives the skin an instant tightening and smoothing effect while also delivering ingredients that support healthier, more resilient skin over time.
The perfect treatment for instantly visibly smoother, firmer, more radiant complexion with that fresh, event-ready glow.
AND It isn’t just for your face. This luxurious treatment can also be applied to the:
• Face
• Neck
• Décolleté (chest)
• Hands
It’s also the perfect treatment before:
💍 Weddings
🎓 Graduations
📸 Photoshoots
🎉 Birthdays
💃 Vacations
❤️ Date nights
…or anytime you want your skin looking its absolute best.
It also makes an amazing gift for someone who deserves a little pampering.

The audacity 🥲

It is so easy to get influenced by a product or routine that worked for someone else on TikTok, Instagram, or even your best friend, to be hopefully that it’ll work for you too and it is so frustrating when that isn’t the case.
But again like in this analogy, If you only fix the broken traffic light, you’ll only help the people whose traffic was caused by that problem. Everyone else is still stuck.
Your skin works the exact same way.
That’s why random skincare trends and copying someone else’s routine can end up costing you more time, money, and frustration. They may be targeting the wrong “traffic jam.”
A good esthetician doesn’t just recommend products, they take the time to understand your skin, ask questions, educate you on why they’re recommending something, and create a plan based on your unique needs. Just as importantly, you should feel comfortable asking questions and make sure you’re working with someone whose approach aligns with your goals.
Healthy skin isn’t about chasing quick fixes. It’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and building a plan that addresses the right pathways.
Remember: skin health is a journey, not a race. The goal isn’t perfection overnight, it’s creating lasting, healthy results over time. 🤍
Have you ever tried a viral skincare product that everyone swore by… but it did absolutely nothing for your skin?
Sometimes it’s the little daily habits that we overlook that make the biggest difference in the way we look and feel.
❌Drying your face with your bathroom towel.
✅INSTEAD: Use a clean face towel (or disposable facial towels if easier) and gently pat your skin until it’s damp. That way your hydrating products can bind to moisture and plump more effectively.
❌Thinking the SPF in your moisturizer or makeup is enough.
✅INSTEAD: Apply a dedicated sunscreen as the last step of your morning skincare routine. Aim for about 1 tsp total for your face and neck combined, and reapply every 2 hours when you’re outdoors or after sweating or swimming (for on top of a beat you can use a brush on mineral spf powder or apply over using a clean disposable wedge sponge)
❌Forgetting your neck, chest, and hands.
✅INSTEAD: Extend your skincare down to your neck, chest, and the backs of your hands, they’re amongst the first places to show damage and collagen loss first! Prevention is always easier than correction.
It is very easy to confuse sebaceous filaments with blackheads.
They do look similar, but they’re also two different things.
✨ Sebaceous filaments are a normal part of your skin. Almost like the wick inside a candle, they help guide your skin’s natural oil (sebum) from the pore to the surface, keeping your skin moisturized. They usually appear evenly across the nose and cheeks, and will naturally refill even after extraction.
⚫ Blackheads, are a clogged and oxidized pore. Dead skin cells, excess oil, and debris build up, and when the top of that plug is exposed to oxygen, it oxidizes and turns dark.
Soooo how do you improve both? Here’s how:
✔️ Use a gentle cleanser consistently.
✔️ Exfoliate 1-3x week
✔️ a form of retinol can also help w skin cell turnover
✔️ Keep your skin hydrated!! Dehydrated skin can sometimes produce more oil to compensate and make these much harder to extract.
✔️ Schedule professional extractions when needed, BUT remember: even perfectly healthy sebaceous filaments will come back because they’re doing their job.
✔️ come see me regularly 💁♀️
However. The goal isn’t to eliminate sebaceous filaments though, it’s to keep them functioning normally while preventing them from turning into true congestion.

Temporary fluid retention and sluggish lymphatic flow can be one of the most overlooked reasons your skin looks puffy, dull, or congested.
During a treatment, it’s important to first stimulate the major lymphatic drainage pathways around the neck and collarbone before working on the face. This helps create a clear pathway so lymph fluid can move more efficiently through the lymphatic vessels and nodes before ultimately returning to the bloodstream.
This leads to reduced puffiness, healthier-looking circulation, calmer skin, and support for your body’s natural waste-removal process.
Treatments aren’t just about relaxation, they’re designed to work with your body’s anatomy and physiology to support healthier skin from the inside out.
Allow me to explain…
1. …I don’t think you always need to wash your face in the morning. At night YES, but if you’re going to bed with your skincare routine absorbed, on top of changing your pillowcases, wear a bonnet, and especially if you have dry skin, a morning rinse with water may be enough.
2. …I believe skin types are more of a condition. Most people have this idea that skin types are something that is set in stone. Your skin’s oil production changes throughout your life due to hormones, age, environment, medications, and other factors. While it’s helpful to identify whether your skin is oily, dry, or combination right now, don’t assume it will always be that way. Your skincare routine should evolve to changes over time as needed.
3. …Less is more. Healthy skin doesn’t require a 10-step routine. At minimum, a cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF is absolutely sufficient. Then we can build from there with one or two targeted products based on your current skin concerns like a corrective serum or hydrating toner.
What are your thoughts?
The worst. 😩
While there isn’t a magic wand that makes a pimple disappear overnight, there are a few things that can help calm it down and reduce redness much faster:
❄️ Ice the area on and off throughout the day. The cold helps constrict blood vessels, which can temporarily reduce swelling, inflammation, and redness.
🎯 Use a spot treatment to help reduce bacteria and unclog the pore. My favs are spot stop or Somerville sulfur treatment.
🩹 A Cosmetics pimple patch during the day to can help if you struggle with picking but don’t keep them on the entire day or night.
