I've been suffering from endometriosis since I was 19 years old, over half my life now.
Some months are worse than others, but since I opened my own business, navigating my high pain days has taken on a new level of conflicting emotions.
I have a business to run, a life to live, but I know from experience that I am not able to bring the degree professionalism I need so I can give my patrons the level of work they expect.
I guess part of growing, both as a person and as a professional, is learning when you need to say "I'm sorry but I can't do that right now" and giving yourself the grace to be able to rest when you need rest.
So here's your reminder to rest when you need to rest and to not kick yourself while you do it - because that defeats the purpose of resting.

I decided I wanted to do both encapsulation and tortoise shell (at least on one hand).
I'm in love with my left hand, honestly. Tortoise shell is a great pattern, it doesn't have to be just for fall.

It's been SIX WEEKS since I did these nails!?
No wonder I'm hurting myself left and right!

If you're accident prone like I am then you absolutely need to be getting your rebalance done at the three week mark, no more than four weeks, to ensure the length doesn't become a problem.
These have been catching on my blankets and other loose materials for a while now.
The last straw was just yesterday when they caught in the slats of the utensil rack in my dishwasher. If I weren't paying attention that could have gotten scary quickly.
