Did you know that The hair around the hairline is finer and more fragile than the hair strands throughout the rest of the scalp?
In fact the constant brushing and pulling you are doing to your edges increases their fragility, leaving them thin and eventually breaking off.
Here are a few tips on how to protect your edges!!
* Cut down the excessive amount of wearing ponytails (especially high pony’s)
* Try not to lay you edges every day ( give them some time to breathe)
* Do not apply heat to your edges
* When wearing a protective style like braids , make sure you are not gripping your edges so tight , -In fact it’s actually better to leave them out & don’t braid them at all-

1. So after you was and clean your hair, apply your oil treatment to your hair while it is damped making sure that you are massaging it into your scalp first, 2. Then start placing the oil throughout the strings of your hair making sure you are getting it on the ends of your hair also ….. (hints why I do the flat twist) 3. After the oil has been applied now take a scarf, bonnet, or shower cap and cover your hair for a hour or two, or just into your hair has completely dried….. And there you have it , you are one step closer to healthy kinks!
