Thank you to Visiting Professor Reuben A. Bueno, MD, MBA, the section chief of Pediatric Hand and Microvascular Surgery Phoenix Children's for your time with our residents on Friday, August 28! Dr. Bueno’s lectures included “Pediatric hand fractures: Shared decision making in the era of D1 aspirations, helicopter parents, patient satisfaction surveys, and market share data” and “Decision making in the management of adult and pediatric upper extremity bone and soft tissue trauma from simple to complex.”

Please join us in welcoming William Wilson, MSN, AGPCNP-BC. Will has lived in Denver since 2010 and attended the University of Colorado for both his BSN and MSN. Will has spent the last nine years as an operating room nurse, with the majority of his experience being in orthopedic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Will is excited to join the Division of Plastic Surgery as an APP and to provide exceptional care through compassion, empathy and respect. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his husband and son, getting outside as much as possible, listening to good music and catching up with friends. Will is ready to start the next chapter of his career and is looking forward to the challenge!

Christene Huang, PhD, is presenting “Total Human Eye-allotransplantation Innovation Advancement (THEIA)” and Nalu Navarro-Alvarez, MD, PhD, is presenting “Whole Eye Transplantation as a Therapeutic Strategy: A Translational Optic Nerve Repair Platform”.

Please join us in welcoming Peyton Cobb, PA-C. Peyton earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2022. For the past three years, she has practiced in orthopedic trauma in Nashville, TN, where she developed extensive experience caring for patients with complex injuries and working collaboratively in the surgical setting. She and her husband moved to Colorado to be closer to family and the great outdoors. Peyton is excited to bring her past experience to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team while continuing to grow professionally and to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, skiing, reading and spending time with friends and family.
