Apply Black Deep Cleansing Mask
Cleanse your face with warm water to remove impurities and open up the pores
Apply a thick layer of charcoal black mask to your face and let it dry for 20 minutes
Remove black mask by peeling off from the bottom of your face
Step one is to cleanse your face and open your pores properly. A good cleanse will remove your makeup and any dirt from the day. Opening your pores will allow your Black Mask to pe*****te and clean to remove more debris from deep inside your pores.
Cleanse your face thoroughly with Elegance Facial Scrub. This product will not only remove all traces of dirt and makeup but also exfoliate dead skin cells making it easier for your mask to pe*****te and remove more blackheads.

Pore Strips
“Pore strips are devices that can be applied to the skin to remove blackheads and dead skin cell debris that can clog pores,” explains double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Jaimie DeRosa, MD. “They are usually made up of a waterproof fabric-like layer with one side coated with a polymer that is supposed to attach only to the sebum within the pores and a non-sticky adhesive that allows the strip to attach to the skin (usually on the nose).”
To activate them, you have to wet the skin before applying the pore strip so the resin and adhesive can work. After waiting about 10 to 15 minutes, you then gently pull the strip (and hopefully some blackheads) away. “Technically, water provides a positive charge that helps the polymer bind to the negative charge within the pores,” DeRosa says.
Benefits of Pore Strips for Skin
The perks are clear for this one: Pore strips get the gunk out of your pores. “The original pore strips worked solely on a strong adhesive that pulls out the buildup of dead cells and debris in blackheads,” Ciraldo says. “Since blackheads are clogged pores that are open to the air, all the debris in them oxidizes and they look like little dots of black dirt. It is visually impressive to see a long strand of debris come out of pores on removal of the strip.”
While it seems like an easy way to exfoliate, Ciraldo notes that the original strips don't improve the appearance of skin between each pore. “The newer generation of pore strips also incorporates charcoal for its oil-absorbing benefits so there is a more matte surface to be expected if you use the charcoal strips,” she says. “The charcoal strips are black like charcoal, and the solely adhesive strips are white like glue.”

How to get rid of oily skin
While there are no cure-all oily skin remedies, there are plenty of daily habits and preventative measures you can use to mitigate uncomfortably oily skin—regardless of stress or hormone levels. Ahead, seven ideas for how to stop oily skin.
• Stay hydrated
Dehydrated skin produces excess sebum in an attempt to keep itself moisturized, potentially creating an environment for increased acne breakouts.
• Keep your skin clean
Many professionals recommend using a gentle cleanser twice a day to reduce sebum buildup and remove any dirt or pollutants from skin. Avoid washing more than twice a day or with overly hot water. Doing either can over-dry skin, which causes your body to overcompensate by actually increasing oil production in order to keep skin hydrated.
• Use an astringent
A gentle astringent³ toner is one of many oily skin remedies. Use once a day to remove excess oil and keep oily skin at bay. As with cleansers, be careful not to overuse astringent toners—doing so might cause skin to produce more oil as a result.
• Use a noncomedogenic moisturizer⁴
Avoid skin’s overcompensation response by applying a non-comedogenic product like Vaseline® Jelly to help prevent skin from drying out after cleansing and toning.
• Avoid pore-clogging ingredients
Certain ingredients found in everyday makeup can lead to acne when applied to oily skin. Always be sure to check ingredient labels when purchasing makeup.
• Always remove makeup before bed
One of the simplest ways to avoid an unwanted acne breakout is to remove makeup before going to sleep. Those who have oily but not acne-prone skin should consider using Vaseline® Jelly to easily remove makeup—even waterproof mascara—before bedtime.
Oily skin can be annoying at times, but sebum is crucial to maintaining healthy skin. Sebum keeps your skin moist, soft, and pliable, which slows down the aging process and prevents wrinkles as you age. Furthermore, it helps to protect skin’s barrier.

You're skipping your exfoliant
Move over dead skin cells. When we exfoliate, we're getting rid of the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. This is important because it makes it easier for your serums to pe*****te.
Keep in mind that you don't need to exfoliate every day, thoughóintegrate this step into your natural skin care routine two to three times a week and you should be good to go.

Simple, stalwart hydration from the drugstore
Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer
Housed in a ho-hum tube, this moisturizer contains a range of deeply effective moisturizing ingredients, and it delivers daily hydration without frills or irritants.
Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer is a go-to for dermatologists and sensitive skin types alike, thanks to its blend of humectants, such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin, and emollients, like ceramides and squalane. It absorbs readily, leaves skin plumped, and even softens the appearance of fine lines, however temporarily. The packaging isn’t charming, but none of our testers could deny its efficacy.
It boasts no-nonsense ingredients. While many of the moisturizers we considered had more than 50 ingredients, Vanicream moisturizer’s lean and mean 19 includes the derm-anointed all-stars we looked for: squalane, glycerin, glycol, hyaluronic acid, and five different ceramides. Also, it notably lacks common chemical irritants like fragrances, dyes, lanolin, parabens, and formaldehyde releasers. The fine-tuned ingredient panel leaves little room for irritation, and none of our eight testers—even those with sensitive skin—reported any issues.
The packaging is dismal, but the texture is sublime. Inside the meh plastic tube is an absolutely breathtaking formula. “The silky texture could easily pass for Chanel,” noted one panelist, who even considered decanting it into a more vanity-worthy jar. Medium-weight and highly emollient, the cream glides on effortlessly, absorbs beautifully, and works well under makeup (several options we tested, like one from EltaMD, either pilled or repelled cosmetics). Most compellingly, it leaves our skin softer than moisturizers costing 10 times as much.
It’s easy to work this cream into a skin-care routine. Even panelists who didn’t have sensitive skin appreciated Vanicream moisturizer for another reason: its layerability. A tester working a prescription tretinoin back into her routine after pregnancy found it was an ideal base layer to prevent the initial skin flare-up she was expecting. Some of the creams we tested had nearly a hundred ingredients, like Clé de Peau (84). More ingredients means more chances for reactivity, especially when paired with compounds like vitamin C, retinol, and alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). Vanicream moisturizer keeps it basic, in the best way.

Toner or astringent
What is it? Toners replenish skin through hydration and remove dead cells and dirt left behind after cleansing. An astringent is an alcohol-based product that removes excess oil.
How to use it: Straight after cleansing, either tap directly onto the skin or a cotton pad and swipe over the face in an outward motion.
Skip the astringent if: You have dry skin.
Be sure to: Avoid toners high in alcohol as they can irritate your skin.
Pros: Toners and astringents can help reduce the appearance of pores and remove impurities left behind after cleansing.
Cons: Overuse of alcohol-based toners can cause irritation.

Wash Your Face. Every. Single. Night.
Let’s start off with a very basic (and very important) nighttime skincare tip: wash your face every night. As Skincare 101 as this may be, many clients tell me they don’t wash their faces consistently at night. Here’s why it’s smart to flip the script on this neglect: Your face is the dirtiest part of your body. The DIRTIEST. Think about it. We unintentionally touch our faces all day long spreading bacteria from our keypads, our phones, pretty much everything we touch. Add in surface film from SPF, makeup, and sebum. Wrap it all up in environmental pollution and indoor ventilation and it’s dirty wrapped in filthy.

The most radiant glow is the one that can’t be bottled.
It comes from the way you pause, breathe, and give yourself a little extra love.
From washing away the day’s chaos. From pressing warm hands against your cheeks, reminding yourself that you’re enough.

Skincare is not vanity.
It’s connection — with your body, your mind, your peace.
Every drop of oil, every gentle massage, every quiet ritual is a love letter to yourself.

Your glow doesn’t need approval.
It doesn’t need perfection.
It just needs you — choosing yourself, every single day.

✨ Glow is a feeling first, and a look second.

Foundation
I make sure to use products with SPF every single day to ensure that I’m protecting my skin from the sun’s harmful rays. The two products I have been using in tandem for quite some time now are Elta MD’s Facial Sunscreen SPF 46 and Rodan + Fields Radiant Defense.
Both products are packed with skincare benefits, so they act as makeup and skincare at the same time. What could be better than that?! They each contain SPF and just enough pigment to match and even out my skin tone. Unless I am headed out for a special event or plan to be on-camera, I don’t like to wear heavy makeup during the day. These two products together are the perfect duo since the Elta is more sheer and the R+F has a touch more color. When combined, the two products provide just the right amount of coverage for a very natural looking, glowing foundation. I mix a small pump of the Elta MD with a pea-sized amount of the Rodan + Fields on my fingertips and rub into my face.
