We just really love when a hair + makeup appointment turns into so much more than hair + makeup.

Sriyutha came in to get ready for headshots with the amazing Jennifer Hobbs McElroy, and somewhere along the way we ended up talking about emotional support work with horses, dreaming about small-town living, and how we’re both going to somehow make our farming dreams happen. 🤠

We mixed some of our products with things from her own makeup bag, which made everything feel even more like her. She even picked up a few new tricks along the way!

This is the kind of beauty experience we love creating at CGB. It’s not about making you look like someone else. It’s about paying attention to you—what you like, how you want to feel, and what already makes you feel like yourself.

And honestly, getting to know the person in our chair along the way? That’s our favorite part. 🤎

From the welcome events to the wedding day itself, it was such an honor to walk alongside Maureen throughout every celebration and create looks that felt like her for each moment.

More than anything, we’re just so grateful to have witnessed two of the kindest, most genuine people promise forever to one another. Maureen & Major, you truly are the perfect match. Thank you for trusting us to be a small part of such a beautiful week.

I used to build my entire identity around how other people saw me. (Which is a tough thing to realize when beauty is literally your job.)

I thought if I could just keep everything flawless, I’d finally feel like enough. But the pressure to perform was so much heavier than the makeup ever was.

Learning to view beauty as a way to feel good rather than an obligation to fulfill changed everything for me. I wrote these reflection questions because I wanted to create a safe space for you to untangle your own beauty story too.
