"There is a story wanting to come through every life, a story that connects backwards through time to our ancestors, our chthonic place, down to our bones, which are the bones of the earth itself. If we can, through our invitational presence, draw that story into the open for others and for ourselves, there is a chance that we begin to live in alignment with our deepest contributive nature."

Two weeks ago I shared a dream I had in September 2009 and a related numinous experience I had in September 2018, the latter of which included the plant, Boneset.
My life is always full of synchronicity so, I was not surprised to learn that one of my favorite herbal teachers was offering an hour long lecture on Boneset yesterday as part of her Monthly Herbal Council series.
I’ve participated in three of her month-long Plant Diets, which I have thoroughly enjoyed, but never in her Herbal Council. I’m so glad I did! I learned so much!
After it was over I took her lead and researched about the herbs that doctors used successfully to treat people during the 1918 pandemic. Boneset was one of the most effective herbal treatments! Interesting huh?
And...in perfect timing...the Boneset growing near me is at the perfect stage for harvesting to make into medicine! Jen explained that the budding flowers, before they are completely opened, is the best time. Of course, I’m not surprised! The plants are always speaking to me and showing up in perfect timing. I’m forever grateful for what they give to us.
Lastly, as I was taking these photos of my full basket (made by the beautiful ), a pretty red winged dragonfly landed on my Boneset! If you scroll back through my Instagram feed to the beginning of 2020, you’ll see a red winged dragonfly that appeared and which I took to be a bit of a spirit guide for this coming year. Coincidence? I don’t think so!
Also new shoes! :)

I spotted these Elder flowers growing on the banks of the river a couple weeks ago when I was out canoeing. Today I collected fresh spring water from my new secret spring and made an Elder flower essence for the Gemini New Moon.

I discovered and identified this plant last year around this time. Shortly afterward, it came to me in a fabulous dream and revealed to me that it was a favorite host plant for the Black Swallowtail Butterfly, among other things. I would like to work with this flower essence some more this summer. Perhaps after trialing the Celery flower essence on the Gemini New Moon, I will trial this one on the Cancer New Moon. Who would be interested in joining me?

There are at least 12 different garden flowers in my Flower Full Moon bouquet. Can you name them?

The Medical Medium has made juicing celery all the rage; however, as a flower essence, Celery may be one of the most perfect essences for our time!
I planted a lot of celery in my garden this year and a few of them started to flower before I could harvest and juice them. When the flowers showed up, they really enchanted me! I immediately wanted to make a flower essence from them.
After I read around on the internet, I was quite convinced that, once again, the plants show up when we most need them! Green Hope Farms says that Celery is helpful for “...birthing a new conscious...” or “...birthing a new way to live...”
I love also how Green Hope Farms associated the flowers to the stars—- they do like little stars! Or even fireworks! Green Hope Farms suggests that Celery is best taken at night and, even better, if you can go sit out under the stars after taking it.
I also discovered a few Australian resources that all spoke about Celery as having the ability to help restore balance during illness or after illness— especially those caused by viral infections!
My intuition tells me that even if we were lucky enough not to have PHYSICALLY contacted CO-VID 19, we have all been infected with it on a spiritual level. I believe Celery may help us restore any imbalances caused by this spiritual arrest caused by this virus.
I would love to speak with anyone who has made and/or taken this essence.

For our current global situation, I was called by Red Buckeye to make a flower essence. To my knowledge, I am an unaware of any others creating Red Buckeye flower essence; however, it is related to the Chestnuts and to the Buckeyes in California, which have been used for flower essences. I get a strong sense that this essence will provide many of the same energy qualities to help with fear and anxiety. The chestnuts and Buckeyes are especially good at quieting the “monkey mind” of obsessive or unwanted thoughts so that we can mental clarity and inner peace.
For added help in relieving stress and worry and providing a soothing balm for the soul— as well as much needed courage— I have added Citrine, Carnelian, Lepidolite, Rose Quartz, Kyanite, Shungite and Peach Moonstone.
