Which one made your eye twitch? 😂

10-day detox with Sanctuary Holistic Wellness. ✨

As hairstylists, we’re exposed to chemicals, fragrances, airborne particles, stress, and environmental toxins every day. While I love what I do, I’ve learned that taking care of my body is just as important as taking care of my clients.
I’ve completed this detox two times before, and I’m excited to give my body some extra support again. Think of it as a reset, not a punishment and a way to nourish, replenish, and support the systems that work hard for us every single day.

Here’s to feeling good from the inside out. 💛

Contrast + Dimension

Summer schedules + running a business + motherhood = a constant balancing act lately. 🌊☀️

One thing I’ve learned after years behind the chair? Protecting your time is part of being a professional.
For most of my career, I never had a no-show policy because honestly… I rarely dealt with no-shows. I built a loyal clientele and trusted my clients. But last year, during one of the busiest weekends of the year, I got hit with multiple no-shows/back-to-back cancellations and it completely changed my perspective.
As hairstylists, our time is our inventory. When someone no-shows a several-hour appointment, that’s income, scheduling opportunities, and time away from our families that we can’t get back.
That’s when I decided to implement deposits for online booking.

My system is simple:
• Clients pre-pay a deposit when booking
• The deposit goes toward their service total
• If they no-show or late cancel, I keep the deposit

Personally, I prefer deposits over keeping cards on file because cards can be canceled, disputed, or declined later. Deposits have worked SO much better for both my business and my peace of mind.
And honestly? Serious clients respect professionalism and clear boundaries.

I think newer stylists are sometimes afraid policies will scare clients away, but in my experience, the right clients actually appreciate structure and consistency.
Curious what other stylists do 👀
Do you use deposits, cards on file, cancellation fees, or something else?
And newer stylists… ask me anything below.

Anything to get the perfect blonde.

05/22/2026

I’ve been doing hair for 24 years and I’m opening up one apprentice spot in Austin.

This is for someone newer in the industry who actually wants to learn blonding, color correction, and how to build a real business behind the chair.

Not for everyone, but for the right person, this could be a really powerful opportunity.

DM me “apprentice” if it feels aligned.

Salon OOTD 🤍

I’m a wardrobe stylist and I still build outfits from basics most days, because styling doesn’t have to come naturally… it just has to feel fun.

This look is literally:
• a simple blazer
• a staple one-piece
• boots I wear on repeat

Mixing structured + playful is my favorite way to make an outfit feel styled without trying too hard. Intentional accessories also add more, but that’s an area I almost always avoid when styling myself 🥴 (thank you sensory issues).

If getting dressed feels overwhelming, start here:
pair your basics + add one unexpected element🤎
