Fun idea….put a heart per day or a few per week of attributes of your child. I have done this with my girls since they were little.

Today….I left the mess.

Most days when I get the girls to school, I quickly clean the kitchen, dining room and living room. I have given up on the rest of my house.

Today, as I went to gather the “office” Ella sat out in our living room yesterday, I thought….one day not too far from now, I will miss having this mess in my house. So I left it. Not sure who needs to hear this, but sometimes we need to embrace the mess, as it won’t last forever.

A friend shared this idea with me and I loved it, so i made them for my girls.

Each child is given a “grace rock” which they hold on to for moments that require a little extra grace from their mama. This is a reminder to them and us that no mess up is too big and they can always come us.

Who has read this?? I am listening to it and it is good stuff.

If motherhood came with a warning label, what would yours say?

Mine would say, “don’t judge until you’ve been there.”
I used to think I would never let my kids x, y or z. I have had to eat my words so many times as my kids get older.
