It’s the last year of my 3rd decade.

Started beauty school at age 30 and it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions.

No one talks about the HARD s**t.

The long nights, the 6 day work weeks. Starting your day at 6am and leaving the salon at midnight.

The loss of money, the over extending, the people pleasing. The psychotic clients, the weirdos, the ptsd from said experiences.

The comparison and self doubt.!

The chronic illnesses and pain that develops.

The incredible hard work, dedication and sacrifice it requires to create consistent income for yourself.

The constant pressure to be perfect and to always show up when you’re actually drowning.

The constant pressure to post.

I almost left this industry. I almost let it destroy me.

But I love the work. I love the connections and the creativity. I love that if something is lacking, I can just build it myself.

When I realized that I AM IN CONTROL, that changed everything.

So i made an active choice to be introspective and pull myself up. Make changes and now i feel more clear headed, focused and confident than ever.

I’ve leaned to slow down and be intentional.

To be comfortable setting boundaries and keeping them. Comfortable saying “no” to things that don’t serve me, that aren’t worth my time.

To be present in real life. That social media is fake af and I’m T I R E D and D O N E with the fake s**t.

I no longer care to “fit in” I never have and that’s okay because I’m forging my own path and creating space that aligns.

I’ll post when I have something to say or want to share work I’m proud of. But I’m done putting so much pressure on myself to be perfect.

I know that I’m one of the best extension artist in Bakersfield. I don’t know everything, I will never claim too and I’m dedicated to learning and improving. But I know no one can do what I do, the way I do it.

That’s special, and valuable.

I’ve learned so much and I’ve changed a lot since 30.

Can’t wait to see what the last year of my 30s has in store for me.

I’m hella excited to turn 40. That’s gonna be the most 🔥 decade yet.

This method is unlike anything I’ve ever seen or done.

I love it because it just makes sense.

It’s not complicated, it’s secure and discrete and comfortable. It’s flexible from day one.

There are 2 different bead works and they can be mixed depending on the client for the ultimate customization.

This will be something I utilize behind the chair daily and I’m so stoked for my clients.

Client goal: length and volume, no color service

Client hair: ultra fine, low density, slight wave, but mostly straight, old highlights.

My approach: sew in wefts to create the length and overall volume through the back. 2 single sided panels of tape in wefts custom sized to each side of her head in the hairline to build length and volume in the front. This is a problem area for most women who seek me out for extensions.
