Week 38 ✨

This week was all about LONG, beautiful hair and helping my clients feel their best. 🤎✨

My first client came in for a root touch-up, and let me tell you… her long, jet-black hair was absolutely chef’s kiss 🤌😍 I was definitely a little jealous!

My second client was ready for a big change. We gave her a fresh chop, added lowlights around the front, and finished it off with a money piece to brighten her look. ✂️✨

I completely forgot to take an after photo (stylist fail 😭), but she looked AMAZING and was such a joy to have in my chair.

Every client who trusts me is another opportunity to grow, build confidence, and do what I love. Here’s to many more transformations ahead. 🤍

Week 38 ✨

It was a short week because of the 4th of July holiday, but that didn’t stop the learning. 🤍

This week I spent my time practicing facials and focusing on refining my technique. Every service is another opportunity to improve, build confidence, and prepare for my future clients.

Even the quieter weeks help me grow. One step closer to becoming the stylist and esthetic professional I aspire to be. ✨

Week 37 ✨

This week kept me BUSY, and I loved every minute of it! 💇‍♀️🤍

✨ Added foil highlights to my mannequin to keep practicing my color placement.
✨ Did a retouch of cap highlights on my brother-in-law.
✨ Gave my soon-to-be sister-in-law a fresh trim and gloss just in time for her brother’s wedding.
✨ And to top it all off… I had a client specifically ask for me to do his perm. Also tagged teamed it with my cosmo sissy Cosmetology Student 🥹🌀

Moments like that remind me why I started this journey. Having someone trust me enough to request me is something I’ll never take for granted.

One week, lots of growth, and many more to come. Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me along the way. 🤍

A certificate that means so much more than a piece of paper. 💙

Today I officially became Sensory Safe Certified. This training helps prepare me to create a welcoming, understanding, and supportive salon experience for children and individuals with sensory sensitivities.

As a special education teacher, this certification holds a special place in my heart. I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming everyday experiences can be for children with sensory needs. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and comfortable while receiving services.

My goal has always been to do more than just hair—I want to create an environment where every client feels seen, supported, and cared for.

One more step toward becoming the kind of stylist I aspire to be. 💙✨

Week 36 ✨

This week I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried a new balayage technique — the Brazilian highlight 🤎✨
Think chunkier pieces and lots of dimension. I may have run out of lightener on the front quadrant 😅, but overall I’m obsessed with how it turned out.

And then… I had the sweetest client come in wanting a complete transformation 💇‍♀️
It took us two days to bring her vision to life, but let me tell you… the final result was chef’s kiss 🤌✨

Every week I’m learning something new, taking chances, and growing more confident behind the chair.

Week 35 ✨

This week was mostly spent preparing for state board, so it was a little quieter than usual 📚✂️

But we ended the week with a simple wash and style, and let me tell you… my client had HAIR for days 😍 Thick, long, and absolutely gorgeous.

Sometimes the simplest services are the most satisfying 💕
Still learning, still growing, and getting closer to that license every day 😌✨

Week 34 ✨

Last week was all about perm rod practice 💇‍♀️🌀
Working on getting faster with my wrapping and trying out different rod sizes and techniques to see how they change the final result.

Not every week is flashy, but every week is progress 😌✨
The little things add up, and I’m determined to keep improving one wrap at a time.
