As small business owners, we often talk about the highs, but rarely the hustle behind the scenes. This season, I’ve been balancing the daily logistics of Harp Vision with side projects from Instacart to Amazon Flex and Uber Eats to keep our momentum moving forward.
It’s been intense, and honestly, the mental load can be heavy.
That’s why I’m so grateful to my friend and partner at The Mulberry, Jenny. She didn’t just invite me to the Patterson Park concert series this past Sunday; she gave me the nudge I needed to step away, sit in the grass, and actually breathe.
That hour of music and conversation was a crucial reminder that building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes, funding the dream means doing whatever it takes, but it’s the people around you who make sure you don’t burn out along the way.
I’m not quite “recharged” yet, but I’m at least reminded of why I’m putting in this work. Taking it one day at a time, and grateful for the reminder to breathe.
