Dear Mom Who Grew Up Before She Was Ready,

You were just a kid.
But life didn’t wait.
You had to learn how to survive in places where you should’ve felt safe.

No one came to rescue you.
So you became your own rescue.
And now, here you are…
Raising children while still learning how to mother the parts of yourself that were neglected, ignored, or silenced.

It’s heavy, isn’t it?
Parenting with empty hands.
Trying to give what you never got.
Trying to heal while guiding someone else through their own becoming.

But look at you.

You’re choosing softness, even though life taught you to be hard.
You’re giving safety, even though no one gave it to you.
You’re rewriting a story that tried to end with you—but didn’t.

That is not weakness. That is power.

So when you doubt yourself, when you wonder if you’re doing enough—
just remember:
You are the cycle breaker.
You are the healing.
You are the mother you needed.

And that is something to be deeply proud of.
