I love a good first session heal 🤤

Subtle, yet impactful, is the key to success.

Do you (or someone you know) have a radiation marker tattoo? These are often harsh reminders of what someone has been through.

I’m so pleased with this result. My client came in to work on her mastectomy scars and I noticed her radiation marker. I offered to try removal on it, and this is the result of only one session! This removal method breaks up the carbon black molecules and disperses them. We did one more session after this, so I am excited to see the final result.

My clients breast cancer journey was in 2005, so this radiation marker is a 20 year old tattoo. I wasn’t sure if this process would have much impact on such an old mark, but I’m always grateful for clients who trust in me enough to let me experiment.

Turns out this was a success for both of us! We’re very pleased! If you have a spot you’d like removed, send me photos and I’ll let you know if I think this process would work or if you should seek laser removal.

I have a few remaining May openings, but mostly booking June and the first half of July. Let me know if you have questions!

Okay fine, I’ll post some brows!

Raw and unedited, because that’s what the people deserve. So much on social media is fake now, but not this… You can even see that I forgot to move one of her hairs out of frame.

I have a few times left in April and May is open for booking! I even opened a few Saturday appointments for anyone with tough schedules, but those times are limited, so snag em while ya can. It’s a perfect time to refresh your brows, lips or liner before summer.

I’ve been quiet here during a heavy time behind the scenes, but I’m finally emerging from the haze of grief & tiny buds of inspiration are returning!✨

But it’s time to speak up; It’s time to get vulnerable—

In 2024, I tried to get pregnant & found out I was developing cancer instead. Fertility-sparing treatment wasn’t enough, so on this day last year, I underwent a total hysterectomy & said goodbye to my fertility forever. The pathology showed I chose myself just in time to avoid the diagnosis. I’ve never felt so lucky & unlucky at the same time.

I’ve been sifting through the grief to find the lessons. One I’d love to extend is that advocating for yourself is ESSENTIAL, especially in a medical setting. Record your appointments! In my 20 year search for answers, I was blamed, shamed & dismissed. I went through 5 doctors & by the time I found somebody to finally listen, it was sadly too late.

The sense of defeat made advocating for myself harder, especially in survival mode / oncology. I had some trust breaking experiences that made me feel like they didn’t just take my reproductive system, but also my voice. This chipped away at my confidence and self-trust & I felt like I lost myself.

In the studio, I always say I strive to transform your insecurities into strengths. I’m now learning the role confidence plays in TRUSTING YOUR VOICE. Our instincts to tiptoe around others to avoid judgement or conflict is abandonment of ourselves. Our agency to speak up for ourselves is that inner confidence & self trust pouring out, which may inspire others to do the same.

I’m now rebuilding my voice through sharing my story!

This forced me to change how I envision my life & my understanding of mothering & womanhood. I didn’t expect it to also shift my artistic focus, but after losing pieces of myself, I’m inspired to help others feel more whole.

So— I’m now seeking models for AR**LA TATTOOS & SCAR CAMOUFLAGE. I want to restore parts you’ve lost, no matter what from! ❤️‍🩹 Post-mastectomy, gender affirming, trauma, stretch marks & more.

To apply as a medical tattoo model, email me pics & if you’re a candidate, I’ll make a treatment plan. 🙏🏼 Let’s help each other.

Fresh, real time results. This will heal down to a natural, rosy pink. I’ll show you in a few weeks when I see her again! Thanks Marissa :)

It’s the subtle, natural and barely detectable updates that I’m here for. What service did she have done?

It doesn’t have to be that dramatic.

Healed first session brows… They barely needed anything else. I love an optimal heal like this! Following prep and aftercare is key.

October dates are open for booking :)

If you have questions… I’m here to chat!

My love for bold brows was inherited from my glamorous Bubbie. She lived vibrantly until the month before her 93rd birthday, which I’ll still celebrate in August, the day after mine.

Thank you to my understanding and flexible clients for rescheduling last week as I sat shiva with my family. I appreciate all the heartfelt condolences, too.

I’m glad I got to show Bubbie my most recent studio once I settled in last fall. She was so proud of me! She loved the colors I painted on the walls, but most importantly that I display part of her crystal collection.

She used to beg me to take her vintage perfume bottles to show off at my “beauty parlor” and I would roll my eyes because it isn’t that… but I may reconsider now.

Life moves fast. Even in her final days she was fabulous, lively and bold. She’d been through a lot and had plenty to feel heavy about, but she consistently showed up with a smile anyway.

I went back to work this week and enjoyed the little Bubbie reminders all around me, but I still hate that she’s gone. As a first generation American, she forged a life for our family to be rooted in Baltimore. Thank you for everything, Bubbie.
