Baltimore Massage and Wellness for Women
Hi, I’m Hadassah and I’m on a mission to help women heal physically, emotionally & spiritually -so you can finally feel good in your body Hi, I’m Hadassah.
I help women heal from pain, stress & burnout. Let’s gently rise out of pain together.
Today my son woke up not feeling well.
When I came back from the gym,
he seemed to be feeling a little better. I said:
“Maybe you just need a mental health day.”
And I told him sometimes your body hurts head aches, tummy aches, feeling really tired
but sometimes your brain is feels stress and needs a rest too, just like your body.
So we took a slow day.
We made healthy food together,
swam in the pool, relaxed, and just slowed down.
And at the end of the day he said-
“I feel like when I go back to school tomorrow, I’ll feel refreshed.”
Honestly, I think a lot of adults never learned this.
We wait until burnout, anxiety, chronic pain, or exhaustion force us to stop
-> instead of taking care of ourselves along the way.
Sometimes it’s movement, sunlight, healthy food, rest, laughter and letting yourself breathe again ☀️🥗💛
Here’s the latest chapter of my story…
After my third child, I was really struggling postpartum, so my doctor put me on anti-anxiety and antidepressant medication.
At first, it helped.
But deep down, I knew I didn’t want to rely on medication forever.
Last year, I made the decision to come off of it.
And honestly?
One of the biggest things that helped me heal was lifting heavy weights.
I’ve never felt particularly strong before.
But now I feel stronger than ever- physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I feel like the strongest version of myself 🔥💪

When you’ve been in pain for so long,
finally feeling relief feels incredible.
Like: “wait… I’m not wearing my shoulders like a nice pair of earrings anymore?!”
When your body has been stuck in stress, anxiety, and tension for months or years,
finally feeling calm again can feel surprisingly emotional.
This week there were a lot of tears of joy on my table from women finally feeling their bodies relax for the first time in years.
And honestly, the body holds onto so much more than we realize, and I feel really grateful I get to do this work 🙏
Just some thoughts from a trauma-informed massage therapist 💛

Sometimes healing looks like sunshine, quiet, and my little horse- oops I mean dog sidekick 🤣

For the woman who is thinking about coming off medication
or already in that process.
It can feel extremely hard in the beginning.
It can feel lonely.
You might feel like your mind is all over the place.
You might even feel a little crazy.
And I want you to know- I’ve been there too.
And I’m here for you.
Coming off medication can feel like you were painting with 3 colors
and suddenly you have access to all 15!
It’s a lot of emotions.
A lot of sensations.
A lot to process.
I’m not here to give medical advice.
And I’m not saying anyone should come off medication.
But if you’re already in this space- I want you to know this:
You’re not broken.
Your body is going through something very real.
I’ve seen this overwhelmed, wired feeling in so many women.
I don’t have all the answers here.
But I do know what it feels like to be in that place.
And I also know it can get better- even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.
If you’re in it right now-
It’s a lot to process all at once.
Your body is trying to find its balance again.
Try to be kind with yourself, like you would with a close friend.
Move your body.
Get some of that energy out.
Help your system be supported- through breathwork, massage, or bodywork.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Sending so much love ❤️
And like a phoenix, you will rise again 🔥

Reaching out to my Baltimore circle 💛
I’m putting together something really special for Nurses Week coming up in May.
I’m curious if anyone here works at or has a connection to:
Mercy Medical Center
MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital
MedStar Union Memorial Hospital
Northwest Hospital
Greater Baltimore Medical Center
or any local hospital
I’m gifting complimentary 30-minute sessions to women in healthcare who are constantly taking care of everyone else - while their own bodies are tight, exhausted, and running on empty.
This isn’t a “spa” massage - it’s focused work to help women actually feel real relief.
If someone comes to mind, tag them below or message me.
I’d really appreciate it 🙏

If you’ve ever felt like your mood, energy, or emotions don’t make sense…
Like some days you feel like yourself -
and other days you don’t even recognize how you feel…
You’re not crazy. And there’s nothing wrong with you.
This is something I see all the time with the women I work with.
For a long time, I didn’t understand it either.
But over the past 9 months, I started paying attention to my cycle - and everything began to make more sense.
I think of it like the Phoenix.
Menstruation - the Phoenix in the nest
This is when your body is asking for rest, reflection, and slowing down.
Follicular - stretching her wings
Your energy starts coming back. You feel more open, creative, and willing to try things.
Ovulation - in full flight
You feel more like yourself. It’s easier to connect, show up, and be seen.
Luteal - coming back down
Your body shifts inward. You may feel more sensitive, need more space, and crave quiet.
When you don’t understand these shifts, it’s easy to think something is wrong.
But your body is actually communicating with you.
This has changed the way I show up in my life and in my business - and it’s a big part of the work I do with women.
Helping them understand what their body is saying instead of fighting it.
I’m curious - has anyone ever been taught this before?
Or is this new for you?

Don’t forget to do things that make you feel like yourself again
Things that bring you energy
That help your body relax
That fill you back up
It doesn’t have to be big
Sometimes it’s just a moment
To stop
To breathe
To step out of the constant doing
To create a little space for yourself
Your body needs that too 💛

When your body is stuck in survival mode - and you can’t seem to relax
Something I see a lot with women is
how many of us are living
in a quiet kind of survival mode.
From the outside, everything looks fine.
We go to work.
Take care of our family.
Keep up with everything.
But inside your body - it’s a different story.
You’re tense.
Tight.
In pain.
Not fully breathing.
Stuck in your head.
Always trying to figure things out.
And over time… it just starts to feel normal.
So you stay silent about it.
But your body was never meant to live stuck in survival mode.
You were meant to stop.
To rest.
To breathe.
One thing that’s helped me, especially when I was going through a really rough postpartum time, is checking in with 3 different parts of you:
Physical Soul (Guf):
Do I need food, movement, or sleep?
Emotional Soul (Nefesh):
Have I been kind to myself?
Have I connected with someone?
Spiritual Soul (Neshama):
Whatever that looks like for you -
prayer, gratitude, quiet time… anything that brings you back to yourself
Most of the time, something is just missing.
And instead of trying to fix everything all at once-
just start there.
A little at a time.
If your body has been feeling like this for a while…
You might be stuck in survival mode.
And your body is asking for deeper care and attention.
If you’re ready for this kind of support, this is the work I do with women every day. You’re always welcome to reach out.
This is part of something I’ve been writing called The Phoenix Letters - small reflections on healing and coming back to your body.
💛
