👋 Hello! I know it’s been a while- but these curls were too good to keep to myself. Check out the difference 4 years can make! This beauty used Innersense and had only 8 haircuts/trims since 2022! That’s just two visits a year!

If you could have seen the amount of hair we cut off- not in length but from adding so much shape- you wouldn’t believe it! It looks like she has more than she came in with!

Her concerns were lack of definition and lack of fullness at the root- and we achieved both!

Over the weekend, I met and trained under Lorraine Massey, author of Curly Girl: The Handbook. She has been so revolutionary to all things curly hair. There is literally no one like her. She has so much passion for how we and our hair are connected with nature, and speaks volumes about embracing our hair and ourselves for what we truly are and what our hair wants to do naturally. I feel like I got to meet my all time hair celebrity- and she is so humble and so kind!

I walked away with a deeper understanding of curls, my hair, and myself. Thank you Lorraine! ❤️

My second day model came from Pennsylvania with her sister. She had never the opportunity to experience Lorraine’s products and her biggest concern was wanting to keep length, but knew it was time to freshen up her ends. I used a curl by curl cutting technique and was able to help maintain length but oxygenate the ends of her curls. She was an absolute sweetie and I am so glad I was able to be a part of her experience that day! Thank you Lisa! ✨

This weekend I traveled all the way to NYC to take one on one education from the OG, the head hancho, the foundation and inspiration of all things curly hair- Lorraine Massey! I saw this model and knew he was going to want something fun! We used all Curly World products- and I’m so glad to have the opportunity to learns about her products and techniques hands on!

We did a big chop and there was no looking back! Her last visit she was considering a pixie, but wasn’t 100% on board- so we went halfway. A few months later she’s ready to make the move and IT IS SO DANG CUTE!

Big changes don’t have to be scary if you know how to work with your texture and get a cut based on how your hair actually wants to behave!

Although her hair is glorious in it’s product free, natural state- we tamed it with a new shape and a tutorial on product application, along with drying techniques!
She also got great second day hair!

I just love her curls! You can TOTALLY get a haircut as a curly person and not lose all your length!
